Only the Orchards
Summary:
In the green valley once known for its sweet-scented orchards, the Covenant of the Sacred Mother stood as a beacon of charity, faith, and peace. But now it is nothing but ruins and black soot. Sister Juliana Carvelli—the last surviving nun of the covenant—wanders the world in search of the man who set the flames that consumed her sisters, her sanctuary, and her life.
Juliana is many things: healer, warrior, priestess, and exile. Outwardly, she shines with faith and kindness; inwardly, she is consumed by survivor’s guilt and a thirst for justice that blurs into vengeance. Her prayers feel unanswered, her vows chafe like chains, and every night she dreams of the fire.
Her journey takes her across many a broken land: desert towns where smiling mayors hide monstrous secrets, rain-soaked roads littered with nameless graves, chapels abandoned to silence. Along the way, she meets a fellow wanderer—a stranger(s) with wounds of their own (This is where you come in!) Perhaps they are a knight, disgraced and hollow. Or a scholar, chasing knowledge best left forgotten. Or a rogue, carrying sins they cannot confess. Whoever they are, their path entwines with Juliana’s, and together they seek answers that neither could face alone.
But companionship is dangerous—the line between trust and temptation blurs. Juliana’s vows tug against her heart, and the stranger(s) may see the pieces of her she hides from God Himself. Together they will confront necromancers who bind souls, zealots who pervert scripture, and the creeping shadow of despair that waits for them at every mile of road.
Yet the deeper they go, the clearer it becomes: the true enemy may not only be the man who burned the covenant, but the silence that followed—the absence of divine assurance, the question that gnaws at both Juliana and her companion(s).

If faith is a fire, what is left when the flame goes out?
The answer will either bind them together… or tear them apart.
About me:
Hello! My name is Angel and I’ve been writing seriously for about 7 years just for myself. I value a good OOC relationship so we can brainstorm and enjoy the story more thoroughly, and I want to keep the door very open for changes. Also I really like using fun fonts and making it look pretty for when I go back and re-read, just to keep in mind if you’re not a fan. As for genres-
I enjoy: (If I can mix them any of them it’s even better!)

I am so lax on replies- it can be once a week or daily, it would be awesome if we ever were on at the same time and were able to reply but life is so busy! If you can commit to more than once a week that’s fantastic but weekly is totally okay with me.
My replies are reflective of my partner, but for general expectations I write at least 5-14 paragraphs pending the context.
I am not averse to gore, I think it often enhances the readers senses, violence is the same, however I am happy to lean in further or soften it for the comfort of a writing partner if we have solid chemistry!
I do write pretty in depth sexual content in my work, due to the nature of the content, Kink will very likely be involved! Happy to give the list of what I imagine may occur in this story and my hard limits, and like sexual tension will be a factor but definitely more story heavy!
I have a map made with general knowledge of each area (including the water ways!) if interested I’m happy to show and explain it - I have a reference for Sister Julianna as well to show that I’m very excited about.
Pairing wise I actually wasn’t 100% set on a single interest, if you ever wanted to explore a love triangle I think it would provide an interesting representation of her potential moral paths! But a single interest would be totally great! I wanted to present the options if anyone has ever wanted to implement two characters for duality!
I have specific events/areas that we will have our characters go through as part of the linear progression of the story. It’s literally a journey where each event/ area build to the final point! It would be a wrap up to the characters main missions (and side quests that all lead up to it.)
Clearly Sister Julianna & Co will be the focus but I have NPCS and their storylines I will be implementing throughout and hope you’re comfortable playing some of those said NPCs along with me!
I want this to be collaborative, if there’s an addition to the journey you want for your characters to get their development or find it simply interesting for a new NPC, I’m happy to work it or find ways to make it work in the outline!
