I'm a seasoned roleplayer looking to find potential new partners. Here's what you need to know:
-I'm male. I usually play opposite female partners but don't actually care what my partner's gender is.
-I mostly play male characters, but likewise have no preference about my partner's characters. I am down with M/M or F/F as well as M/F.
-I am 27 and would prefer my partner not be less than 20 because I am uncomfortable writing with teenagers if there is anything romantic involved.
-I will not write anything sexual with you until I get to know you well enough and am also sure you are actually in fact an adult. This is for not only comfort reasons, but also my own protection because the internet is full of people who lie about their age. Please respect my wishes and don't push for sexual content.
(Note: That does not mean no sexual themes, only no explicit sexual scenes.)
-I do have limits for sexual content, but we can discuss that when and if we ever get to that point.
-I'm married. This is about writing for me, nothing else. Blurring OOC and IC lines is a deal-breaker.
-I am a busy adult with important things to do, as well as a medical condition. I will be abysmally slow to post. This also means I am incredibly understanding about posting rates in return. Be okay with my glacial posting speed and we will get along great.
-Flexible post length. I believe in quality over quantity. If you're not okay with the possibility of a one-liner even if it gives you plenty to work with, we will probably not suit. I would rather get a one-liner that moves the plot along than get ten paragraphs of fluff. That said, I can and often do write lengthy posts. Typically I will write a few short paragraphs.
-I don't care about your technical writing ability as long as I can understand it. Being a grammar Nazi kills all the fun. However, if I do not understand your post, I may ask you to clarify. I appreciate partners who do not take this personally.
-If we don't talk out-of-character about it, I will assume you've lost interest in the RP. I do best with partners who are friends and who take initiative to throw ideas or chat to me about things. The more you talk to me about the RP, the more I will talk to you about it and the more likely I will be to post more quickly because I'm in the zone.
-I like to take charge of the plot, but totally passive partners are a big turn-off. Please contribute.
-I like playing multiple characters or at least side NPCs. I don't expect my partner to do the same but it is welcomed.
My favorite genres include horror, high fantasy, historical, supernatural, and mystery, though my tastes are fairly broad and flexible. I do not care for slice-of-life. I am very fond of romance, but I will be bored if that is the only focus of the RP.
My favorite part of roleplaying is character relationships. This does not have to be romantic; I also enjoy other kinds of relationships (friends, family, mentor/pupil, etc.) If there is not an interesting character dynamic of some kind, I will probably get bored. I prefer when relationships develop naturally rather than forcing them.
Unless I tell you otherwise, you can assume I am still interested in the RP. If I don't feel like we're meshing or if I lose interest, I will tell you. Nagging will make me not want to reply. As mentioned, I have other responsibilities and a chronic condition to deal with and so I need partners who can be patient. If we mesh well and have a solid plot, I will almost certainly not lose interest no matter how long it's been. If you're worried about it, just talk to me.
Currently, I am craving:
-Creepy horror/supernatural themes
-Fantasy with a lot of collaborative worldbuilding
-Regency-era historical or Regency-influenced fantasy
-Werewolves or whatever
Feel free to throw other ideas at me as well. If interested, please PM me. I will be slow to respond so please be patient with me as well on this front.
