Name: Samara Rahal
Age: 23
Height: 5'7
Weight: 62kg
Occupation: Tinkerer/Scientist
Biography:
The honourable house Rahal, imperial, ravenous for future ingenuity built on years of profit and seeking of knowledge. Sturdy pieces of iron and steel, enchanted devices to aid in not only restoration of stone but flesh. The Rahal were tinkerers and scientists. Magic woven into technology. Azhara was their home it had been for centuries where their name once held weight. In the line of Rahal, Samara was the only child to the first son of Rahal, her shoulders would one day hold the Rahal name in pride.
Like her ancestors, she was a tinkerer with a mind for mechanical comprehension. She apprenticed under her father and other masters within the Artificers Alliance. During her youth, she sought knowledge from magical engineers, crafters and other inventors like her father. When Samara was old enough she travelled with her father across the dunes using the iconic sand skipper that she helped create.
In the dunes they found the Rimidus Artifact a chance discovery while scavenging for parts when they found an artifact revealed by a brutal sand storm and the arcamond device to detect parts beneath the coarse waves.
The artifact changed the course of the Rahal line, poisoned by madness as all others claimed. An unnatural obsession haunted Samara's father and she followed in his goals. The family was consumed upon their arrival back in Azhara where they shared their findings. An unknown language hidden inside the artifact, a codex of unknown potential to create constructs born of adamantine metal.
their obsession grew over the months of the first creation. A war construct, fast, stronger than a man, and more durable than a knight in full armour. All under the command of its master. They built from the codex a gauntlet with inscription smelted into the metal rings across the fingers. But the Rahal knew there was more. The power to create a sentient mind inside the metal constructs. This became their fixation and with it the Rahal family began to pump funds into the exploration of the Rimidus Artifacts potential. They worked closely with the alchemy circle to understand transmutation if the metal could be used to empower the constructs further. They also worked alongside other inventors and intelligent minds. Until they were warned of their desire to give life to the mechanical constructs, the dangers of their entrapture.
For a time Samara ignored the warnings signs, the words of wiser men in the Artificers Alliance. When she began to notice the emptiness of Harrowhall. The family estate had been plundered by their need to purchase materials for their work, and nothing remained of her life but skeletons, and blank walls. Any and all servants of the noble, venerated house were dismissed to save costs.
The Rahal name had turned into nothing but a black hole, sucking the life from her bloodline. Her revelation was too late as her father had used a newly translated line of the codex's language to empower the Hulk construct. The metal, machination was activated and turned the streets red with blood, countless lives were lost including her father's as he attempted to regain control of the metal abomination.
Rahal name was a stain and their reputation was tainted. It fell to Samara to fix the broken pieces, rebuild the wealth of her noble house and try to continue her father's work. She did not share her ambition to continue, instead focusing on being fully accepted back into the guild, reclaiming her family's reputation as exceptional inventors, scientists and above all tinkerers with a passion for the extraordinary. She kept some of the works a set of translations and constructs she was allowed to keep but with restrictions as they kept a close eye on the Rahal family.
