MC ( Allora Delcroix ) is a Canadian born who traveled to New York City and settled there as an immigrant in search of bigger and better dreams at the young age of eighteen. As a musician she figured New York was the best city to find her niche. Unfortunately, at that time with a two year travel visa and no clue how to live on her own after high school she's left in a bad way after being denied jobs for over a year. Unable to find an apartment she begins sleeping out of homeless shelters and 24 hour service industries, while playing her guitar and singing anywhere possible to collect even a little bit of money for food and the basic necessities. Just before her twentieth birthday she meets a man named Trey who helped her out and she eventually entered a relationship with him. Unfortunately Trey was not a good person, and convinced MC to become a cam girl, then a stripper and finally entered her into an escorting business all while dealing on the side for himself and collecting over half her paychecks. It isn't until she is twenty-one that MC is done with Trey's shit and turns herself into the NYPD as an illegal prostitute all the while working out a plea deal; she snitches out on those she works with including Trey, and they give her protection plus no jail time.
MC then continues working for the NYPD as a snitch, collecting good money until eventually finding her own apartment and working towards a better future. She quits her illegal work and by twenty-two becomes a well trained but still non official 'investigator' for the NYPD. She essentially looks into their surface level sources and completes the investigating that the police can only do with a warrant and special circumstances; aka breaking and entering to find information, stalking and taking photos, collecting current information on the movement of certain dealers etc. YC grew up in NY, how ( whether it be upper, middle or lower class) is up to you. He entered the dealing business young, and now at ( whatever age you see fit ) he has an in to one of the most influential drug and arms dealing gangs in all of NY State as one of their dealers for their copious amounts of product, whether it be drugs, weapons, or both if up to you as well. Unfortunately YC messes up horribly in the first few weeks of his new job and receives major backlash in the form of an unpaid 'mission.'
This unpaid mission has him finding MC who has been working on this gang's case for a while, and slowly leaking information to the NYPD about them and their members. After YC finds MC he can do as he sees fit so long as she can no longer track down the gang or its members for the police. As a first step it is up to YC to kidnap MC, holding her hostage until an agreement is made and all the information she knows about the gang is revealed. Through it all our characters grow an odd bond after realizing they know each other from years ago when MC first moved to NYC - she used to play and sing in the subway, and YC used to deal there frequently.
As a note, I hope for this roleplay I can explore gorier details including mild torture in certain scenes befitting of it. Our characters start off as enemies, and because MC has information that YC needs he keeps her alive and they eventually grow close during her captivity until eventually they both realize that the gang one has been working for and the other has been working to break apart is planning on killing them both; which brings them closer together, and blooms into a toxic but passionate romance.
