• her vixen-like eyes are framed by long eyelashes often accentuated by makeup. they are a harmonious collection of pale green on her right iris and amber-gold on her left.
• pillowy lips with a mouth whose corners naturally curl upward, almost creating a permanent smile.
• caramel, warm, flawless skin with a faint golden sheen in direct sunlight.
• a doll-like face with soft features; straight nose that is slightly upturned.
• she stands shorter than most other elves at 5'5" with a pear-shaped figure. her breasts are a little more than a handful for her own slender fingers. her body is soft to the touch, barely toned, just as a princess is expected to be.

• kharis illbryn amakiir – father , the king of lilannora . tall, imposing, sharp but handsome facial features, pale blonde hair and green eyes. kharis is well respected throughout the realm, known for his level-headed and merciful decisions. he is a magnanimous ruler even during the war that the humans insist on continuing to fight. as a father he was very attentive towards corin to ensure his heir was shaped into the kind of king that lilannora needed. with his two daughters, however, he rarely had time to dote on them... but when the time did occur, he spoiled them beyond compare with attention, gifts, and wisdom. he has a soft heart for his family and those in need, some finding it to be a weakness of his, albeit kharis understands the importance of benevolence as a ruler. his kindness should never be mistaken as weakness, for he would do whatever it took to protect his home and his people... even if it meant marrying his daughter into the human court.
• amira isolde amakiir, née orbryn – mother , the queen of lilannora, half-elf . short, delicate facial features, long ebony hair and gold eyes. it is said that the queen's laughter is able to make roses bloom, granting her the nickname "the thornless queen". her joy is able to disarm even the sharpest brambles, her genuine kindness a beacon of light in trying times. despite being the perfect queen to the elves of lilannora... being a perfect mother is much harder for amira. with corin and evelina things were simple. corin was eager to fulfill his destiny to become the king, trying his hardest to study and train with his father. evelina was grateful to have a home, and showed it regularly by always doing as she was told without complaint. the queen's third child, however... was much different than the other two. emotionally volatile, stubborn, and independent. layali had always been a handful, often being handed over to the nannies and tutors to deal with. although amira loves all her children it was harder to bond with the youngest who took so long to come to terms with royal duties. as layali grew older and more responsible her relationship with her mother increased. the two are not close but they hold enough trust to confide in one another.
• corin sterling amakiir – brother , crown prince . tall, beautiful facial features, muted umber hair and fiery amber eyes. corin has always been extremely serious about his fate of becoming the ruler of lilannora. ever since he could formulate sentences he was preparing himself for such a large responsibility by going out of his way to study longer, train harder than the others. he had little time for his siblings, instead enjoying the company of his father and mother above other children. due to never really bonding outside of family affairs, layali is not close to the man, and could not even tell you his favorite color. layali admires corin's dedication, albeit she holds a bit of distaste toward him for his refusal to ever attempt a relationship with her.
• evelina lirien brighthelm, née amakiir – sister , adopted . taller, lean, doe-like facial features, large chocolate eyes and sandy blonde hair. evelina was adopted by layali's family long before she was born, and although she doesn't have the title of princess, that never stopped her parents from spoiling eve like their other children. the woman was able to marry a high lord in the court, securing her a place in society once she matured. evelina was always very generous and patient with the ever moody layali growing up, helping to guide her in her studies when the royal tutors had given up for the day. one of their favorite things to do as children was host weekly tea parties for the birds, mice, and bugs that they still talk about to this day. layali is close to her sister and sees her regularly to discuss fashion, gossip, and whatever other topics fancy them that particular day.
• sugarhoof – the unicorn bound to layali from a childhood oath. sugarhoof is a stocky white stallion with a wavy mane and tail that nearly brushes the ground. his most endearing feature are the overgrown whiskers adorning his pink nose to create an adorable mustache. sitting in the center of his forehead is a tall ivory horn that thins to a sharp point at the curved tip. he was named "sugarhoof" because when they first met so many years ago all the young princess could think of was how it looked like candy floss grew from his feathered legs. sugarhoof is intelligent, protective, fiercely loyal to his owner, and valiant.

PERSONAL

• ever since she was a little girl it was her mother who pestered her to learn the arts. painting, embroidery, dancing, singing... it all improved over time with effort, but nothing had truly spoken to layali until one of the court's high lords had bestowed upon her a rare gift indeed. one of the realm's most precious instruments— a golden harp strung with spider silk. when plucked, the harp's voice is not just heard— it is felt, like the whisper of a dream half-remembered upon waking.
• because she was such a difficult sprout growing up, layali was often confined to the castle, unable to make any friends outside of it. she spent a lot of time in nature, playing in the garden by herself or parading around the castle grounds on sugarhoof. she enjoys the company of animals, having a soft spot for them, and seems to attract them more than the average elf.
• layali has recently gotten into perfume making. she distills her own scents when a positive memory occurs, bottling up the aroma so that every time she smells it the same feeling of euphoria will wash over her.
• the princess enjoys storytelling (or perhaps that is simply a remanent from her extravagant fibbing days as a child), and has even created a journal full of wonderful or sorrowful tales. when not expected to fulfill any of her royal duties she will be seen carrying around a small leather satchel with her journal and a pen inside.
• layali thoroughly enjoys the rain and will go outside to sit in it whenever the clouds decide to grace her with their tears.
