Appearance: Despite his social difficulties, Octavius stands at attention nearly at all times, eyes wary and watchful. His armor is somewhat expensive in appearance, a once-bright gold though tarnished with many years of use. He carries a strong oak shield at his back, which appears to have born a crest of some kind, but the design has been completely sliced off, leaving a gash in the wood where it once wad. His weapon is a two-handed greatsword.
Bio: The youngest of four, Octavius was born to a high-standing guard in the kingdom, and is descended from a long line of brave warriors who stood loyal to the crown. From the age of twelve, Octavius began apprintenceship under one of the local knights, and was initiated at nineteen to a position he assumed he would hold the rest of his life. However, when his older brother discovered that his daughter, Ilyra, possessed magical abilities, Octavius couldn't bring himself to cast the child away. He agreed to take the girl in and leave the capitol, traveling with her for many years. Ilyra knew him as uncle. As she grew up, however, she had more and more difficulties controlling her abilities, especially when she was scared or angry. When she was eleven, she was discovered by the guards in a village and taken for execution. Octavius was unable to prevent it, and it remains his deepest regret. Currently, he is something of a wandering vigilante, correcting wrongs when he sees them, but for the most part, keeping strictly to himself. He rarely even speaks.
