clears throat*. Okay, let's try this again. Hello everyone, My name's Ramen and welcome to Ramens Reworked Register of Random Roleplay: Redux. It's been many a moon since I posted one of these, equally as long since I've been "active", but I'm aiming to fix that, so without further ado......My thread.
First, a bit about me. I've been writing stories since I could write and have nearly been a part of the Sanctum since the beginning. I usually average between 3-4 decent paragraphs, or countless smaller ones, depending on what needs to be conveyed. I'm a pretty literate person (at least I like to think so).
I'm perfectly fine with my stories getting dark or violent, and I'm okay with sexual content (although I could take it or leave it)
I enjoy most genres; sci-fi, fantasy, etc. I'm particularly fond of Noir style crime stories. Please, however, don't ask for historic fiction (please don't make me do research, because I WILL). Any kind of apocalypse, from zombie to nuclear, is open for discussion.
Fandoms is a tough one as I am a massive nerd (games, comics, anime) and have been for 30 years. It would honestly just be easier to ASK me about your prefered fandom. As far as favorites, if you're looking for Fallout, Resident Evil or D&D hit me up because I may be your guy (I could talk lore on those for hours).
I suppose all that's left is story ideas, of which I have a couple. I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things right now, so I'm going to keep it down to one or two for now. Keep in mind that these are barely prompts, I like to save the actual story details to work out with my partner. I prefer to set up a basic premise and then run with it, it makes for unexpected twists in the story.
I'm going to leave it at that for now, although more may come once I knock off the rust. I realise they're all a bit vague, but they're really just concepts. If any of them catch your attention PM me and we can go into more detail and create something together.

**Depressing the small button, Cayden took a step back as a faint ticking sound caught his ear. It was a sound he had heard his whole life, it was clockwork winding up. Leaning closer, he placed his ear as close to her chest as he dared, eyes closed, listening. Sure enough, the sound was coming from HER. "Some sort of construct?" He mused as he listened. "An elaborate toy?" He found himself drawing closer, his face hovering inches from hers. He had never seen anything like this, the design was like none other. She looked so.....real, as if she were only sleeping.
Cayden fell backwards as the girls eyes sprung open, her radiant blue irises piercing into him as she gazed at him, unblinking. He sprawled on the floor, wide eyed, as she sat up, slowly scanning her surroundings. Her movements were stiff, as if she had not moved in many years. Those hauntingly blue eyes fell on him at last, and he sat frozen, gasping like a fish as she did something he never expected........she spoke.
"F........father?"**
So, basically, it’s a swashbuckling steampunk adventure story. My character is an inventor in the mildly dystopian city of New Orlais. Your character is an advanced automaton built by a legendary scientist nearly 100 years earlier.

He sprawled on the floor, wide eyed, as she sat up, slowly scanning her surroundings. Her movements were stiff, as if she had not moved in many years. So, no excerpt for this one, but the basic concept is college students at Miskatonic University in Arkham Massachusetts. I really want to do a Lovecraftian horror story.
