A dear friend told me that this post intimidated her a little, but I want everyone who reads this to know I am not seeking you to meet the same level of effort as me, just to let you know that the effort I am putting into writing for you is out of love and respect for a special person. If you are going to read the post below, know right off that you are special, and I really hope to get to meet you soon. #Love!

Welcome to the World of my Mind. It's been a little while since I've been active on the site. Some personal issues shook me to my core, but I think I'm finally clear of the dark spiral that life sucked me into, and I am looking to get back into writing. My plan is to handle things a little differently this time. So, here goes:

I'm a full-time professional person, meaning I have a job, family and I'm working on several novels at the current time, two are joint ventures with simply outstanding talents. What I am looking for in rejoining this site is a couple of writers to collaborate with two or three times per week, to keep my mind fresh. When working on novels, you tend not to fall into characters as deeply as you do in roleplay since you're voicing dozens of people. I found it most helpful, while working on my last book, to engage in RP on this site so I could find the truth of just one voice. However, I spread myself way too thin, hence the strict guidelines I've set in place for myself.

My tastes are truly all-encompassing. I tend to prefer fantasy twists, so magical realism and alternate realities are a dream for me. A post-apocalyptic world with demons and magic is as equally up my alley as a sword and sorcery high fantasy. I don't have characters or stories in mind; I prefer to work all that out with my partner in OOC chat. Maintaining these conversations is important, as it allows planning and editing to occur as time goes on. (Side note: I know there is a lot of Smut on this site, and I'm completely fine with writing it, but it can't take over the entire story)

I bring to the table thirty years of writing experience. I started out planning D&D games for my friends, advanced into storytelling, and about 5 years ago really started trying to get my work published. I've had two short stories appear in anthologies, and I am seeking an agent to help me bring my work into the world. This means that I have a high requirement for accuracy in grammar and spelling from my partners. Plot and pacing are also very important to me! Most importantly, I must have a spark of friendship with my partners. I use Word to type all my posts, and run it through two or three levels of editing. Since I'm only looking to write two or three times each week, I would like longer posts, somewhere in the 1500 to 2000 word range, but I'm also fine with 500 to 750 words, if they express all that is needed for the scene.

If you've read this far and like what you've seen or remember me pre my unplanned, but very necessary hiatus, send me a message. I'll check them regularly and look forward to connecting with people again. Be well!
