This is a Rewound Time/Second Chance type story. This will be modern day.
MC and her sister are the daughters of a prestigious wealthy elite family in France, their parents own one of the largest shipping and import companies of French goods all over the world, plus two five star French resorts. Both girls are set to inherit the family fortune 50/50, each daughter will get control of one of the two resorts and they will be expected to run the shipping and import company as a team with 50/50 control.
YC (younger brother) and his brother (older brother) are the sons of an equally prestigious wealthy elite family (from anywhere you want and whatever family fortune and family resources you desire). YC has always been in his older brother’s shadow and for the most part, he tends not to mind, it keeps the bulk of the high expectations off of him… although YC could do without his older brother’s disgusting arrogant attitude and just general mean and cruel nature. The attention and spoiling lavished on the older brother by their parents brought out the absolute worst in their first born.
MC and YC’s families have been friends for a long time and have decided they want to ally their families and combine their resources into a super power… by having the French sisters marry their sons.
When the girls are brought to meet the guys to decide which one they want to marry… MC is charmed by the smooth silver tongue of the elder brother and chooses to marry him. Strangely MC’s younger sister doesn’t complain about having to settle on the younger, quieter brother.
Though it does bother MC to see how her younger sister seems to bully the younger brother, but he never does anything in retaliation…
What MC doesn’t know is that the older brother and her sister have been emailing each other for months and have been conspiring to have MC and YC killed and make it look like they ran off together. Leaving the older brother and younger sister free to claim everything.
On the wedding night, the elder brother turns on MC and poisons her, he stands there with a smirk and watches her lay on the floor and die, mocking her the whole time about how easy she was to fool and how her sister and him are going to enjoy being filthy rich together.
Just before taking her final breath, MC vows that if she got another chance, she wouldn’t be so easily duped and make the smarter choice of the younger brother.
