Akasha's Main Character, Samantha Volkonoff
Samantha Vlkonof was born in Russia, she lived in Russia, and she had never left Russia. Her father always stated that Russia was in her blood, and she could never leave it as it would leave Russia without their princess. It was all bullshit, and she knew it; her father hadn't found the perfect price for her. She had been paraded around each family repeatedly in Russia, and it was getting worse. It was almost embarrassing when she started recognizing people and realized she was doing a second lap around them. She was barely 23 years old and had a bloody Ph.D. and master's at this age, but she was not good enough for other families. Or was it that they were good enough for her? So she didn't get involved in her father's world, well, not much. She had little things that she did on the side to keep herself entertained and to fuck with her father, but otherwise, she kept her hands clean and focused on working the Russian medical system into the 18th century and out of the 12th. It's almost embarrassing what people think they can do nowadays, blood leaching. Seriously? It frustrated her to no end, and even working at the hospital, she would have two guards around her at all times, which upset many of her patients and the hospital staff, but they were not stupid enough to ask her to leave. Samantha got what she wanted when she wanted it, and anyone who even thought about saying no disappeared quickly.
Vladamir Volkonoff DEAD
Vlad is the Moscow Russians' leader, Samantha's father and Ivan's rumoured father. He only thinks of money; he only wants more money and will trade his family for it. He has no loyalties, even to his own family, and does what he wants when he wants it. He plans to take over New York, move the Russian Chicago Mafia into New York, and route all other families out.
Maria
Maria is a nasty old woman that still thinks they are in the cold war. She barely speaks English well enough. She believes that all females must wait for marriage, and even then, there should be a sheet between them and only a hole. Maria has been Samanthas Nanny her whole life and has had an iron grip on the girl, still attempting to tell her what to do.
Maria Volkonoff
Maria is Vladamirs older Sister- Mother of Igor, Katya (Twins). She has never been married but has two kids; the father disappeared when Maria told her brother she was pregnant. She smokes like a chimney, and she has foul breath.
Anya Volkonoff
Anya is Vladamirs Older sister as well. She has three sons, Dmitry and Vladamir and is rumoured to be the mother of Ivan. She is a nasty piece of work, and her husband is long since dead, turned traitor on his brother-in-law.

Beauty is important; these two siblings try hard to keep their appearances up, and to the untrained eye, they might look good, but up close and seeing their personalities, they would be described as the ugliest whores ever to meet.
Ivan Volkonoff
Ivan is rumoured to be Vladamirs and Maria's son, but no one has truly confirmed it. He has an unhealthy obsession with Samantha and has been her guard for many years. He likes to see her cry, and loves seeing the bruises on her body and the cuts that he gives her. He loves to trash her dreams and ruin her wishes.

Friend of Sam's works as the chief at a non-insurance hospital in New York.
Aline Poletti
Married for eight happy years to Nico Poletti and sister-in-law to Maximillian Poletti. French and a great friend of Samantha's. Nico and Aline have a daughter together.
