Hello & welcome to my characters page! I will be updating as I go, this is a work in progress.

    Markings & Scars: She has various marks and scars all over her body from over the years, the most prominent being a large diagonal scar on her upper right arm that she got after scraping her arm trying to escape a pack of infected.
  • Beth is known to those around her to be empathetic, always knowing when someone needs a shoulder to lean on. She is incredibly loyal, sometimes to a fault, always doing whatever she can for both her friends and family, and often sacrifices herself own needs for others. This loyalty can sometimes translate as overprotectiveness, causing her to be a bit controlling at times without meaning to. As much as she's there for others, she finds it hard to be there for herself, harboring insecurities that often make her feel like she's not good enough. Because of her insecurities, Beth is rather introverted and appreciates her alone time where she can reflect and unwind, sometimes getting drained from her selflessness to others. She's observant, noticing small details around her, keeping her practical and level-headed when facing problems.
  • Bethany grew up in the small town of Echo Creek, Washington. Growing up she was always known to be creative and empathetic, spending most of her time writing music and finding comfort in her own company. As she grew older, her passion for helping others led her to pursue a career in social work. Her main focus was always on social justice and community outreach, and after she received her degree, she went back to Echo Creek to work with the homeless population both in and on the outskirts of it, her work bleeding into other small towns and cities. Feeling a sense of responsibility to help, she uses her resourcefulness and social status in order to help make things right for those who can't stand up for themselves.
  • On the day the world fell apart, Beth was 24 years old. As part of her work, she was visiting a homeless encampment on the outskirts of her town, listening to their stories and offering help where she could. The first signs of the outbreak reached her only as rumors — people getting sick and acting violently j the surrounding cities. Before she could fully grasp what was happening, chaos erupted around her. Beth managed to escape the initial wave of violence, making her way back to town as everything around her descended into madness. The infection spread rapidly, and Beth was forced to flee, leaving behind the life she had worked so hard to build.
  • Now at 44, Beth has spent the last two decades surviving in a world drastically different from the one she grew up in. The once hopeful social worker has now been hardened by the harsh realities of the post-apocalyptic world. Beth moves from place to place, using her resourcefulness and observation skills to navigate dangers around her. While her optimism has faded, she remains loyal to the few people she allows into her life, always trying to help where she can. Though the world has changed, Beth's core desire to make a difference still drives her, however, she now approaches it with a more realistic mindset, her days of dreaming of a better world behind her.

  • Cassidy Baker grew up in the bustling city of Zuzu, working a monotonous office job that left her feeling unfulfilled. Fond memories of summers spent on her grandfather's farm in Pelican Town often filled her mind. When she discovered a letter from her late grandfather, offering her Stardrop Farm, Cassidy saw it as the perfect escape from city life. Without hesitation, she left Zuzu City behind, ready to start anew in Pelican Town. Upon arriving at Stardrop Farm, Cassidy was met with an overgrown field and a rundown farmhouse. Despite the challenges, she embraced farm life, quickly becoming part of the close-knit Pelican Town community. She found joy in tending to the land, building relationships with her neighbors, and uncovering the farm's mysterious past. As she restored the farm to its former glory, Cassidy discovered a deep connection to the land, fulfilling her desire for a simpler, more meaningful life.

  • Madge Undersee was born and raised in District 12, the daughter of Mayor Undersee and his wife, Margot. Growing up as the only child of the district's mayor, Madge lived a life of relative privilege, but she was acutely aware of the hardships faced by her fellow citizens. Despite her status, Madge was known for her gentle and compassionate nature, which earned her a quiet but genuine friendship with Katniss Everdeen. Her upbringing, marked by education and access to resources, fostered a deep empathy for those suffering under the Capitol's rule.

    Escape from District 12
    When the Capitol bombed District 12 following the 75th Hunger Games, Madge's life was upended. She managed to escape the destruction that claimed so many lives, her family included, fleeing through the woods and eventually finding refuge with the resistance. Her journey to District 13 was perilous and marked by loss, but Madge's determination to survive and keep the memory of her home alive drove her forward. Her escape was not just a physical one, it was also an emotional journey toward active resistance.

    Life in District 13
    Upon arriving in District 13, Madge had to adapt quickly to the regimented and militaristic environment that was so different from her life in District 12. She threw herself into volunteer work as a medic, using her knowledge and compassion to help care for the injured and sick. Though she wasn't a soldier, Madge's contributions were invaluable, and she became a respected member of the medical team. Her role in District 13 was a far cry from her life as the mayor's daughter, but it allowed her to channel her grief into meaningful action.

Translucent, bubble-like wings sprout from her back, glimmering with a pearlescent glow, more decorative than functional, like fragile soap bubbles that could pop at any moment.   • Emika grew up near the coast, spending her childhood by the beach and developing a deep love for the ocean. She always felt a unique connection to water and found solace in its calming presence. Her family owned a small marine-themed boutique, where she worked and nurtured her creativity.
  • Emika's life changed when she first met the magical creature, Kyubey. Kyubey offered Emika the chance of a lifetime - the opportunity to become a magical girl in exchange for any wish she liked. Hesitant at first, Emika denies the offer, however the creature was persistent in its pursuit. Regardless, Emika stood steadfast in her decision, unable to come up with a wish she felt would be impactful enough. Still, Kyubey never drifted far, always awaiting Emika finally deciding on a wish, and then, one day, it happened. With a turn of fate, Emika's younger brother, Mikito, was caught in a drift and carried out to sea where he began drowning. Despite her best efforts, Emika was unable to save her brother. In her devastation and desperation, Emika turned to the magical creature to make her wish, willing her brother back to life. Kyubey granted her wish, bringing her brother back to life and bestowing her with the power to control and create magical bubbles.

    Transformation
    During her transformation, Emika is enveloped in a swirl of water and bubbles, which gather around her to form her magical girl costume. The transformation sequence is serene and elegant, with the water gently cascading around her, cleansing her of her worries and imbuing her with the power she needs to fulfill her duties.
  • Emika is gentle, empathetic, and nurturing, but she carries a deep sense of loss and guilt from the incident with her brother. Her calm demeanor masks an inner turmoil as she grapples with the trauma of that day and the weight of her powers. She is driven by a strong sense of duty to protect others, but her experiences leave her haunted by the darkness of her wish.
  • Bubble Manipulation: Emika can create, shape, and control magical bubbles of various sizes and properties. These bubbles can act as shields, traps, or weapons.
    Bubble Burst: She can cause bubbles to burst with explosive force, releasing powerful bursts of water or light energy.
    Water Breathing: Emika can breathe underwater and communicate with marine life, allowing her to explore and protect underwater realms.

Wanda is known for her unconventional methods, often solving problems with a smile and an inventive approach.     Philosophy

Initially, she struggles to trust others, having been raised to believe the outside world is filled with dangers. But as she begins to realize that not everyone is out to harm her, she slowly opens up, blossoming with a newfound eagerness to explore all that life has to offer.
  • Emmeline was born to an elven mother and a human father, making her a half-elf. As an infant, her mother took her away to a secluded cottage deep in the woods, hiding her from the world. She was told it was to keep her safe, that there were those who wished her harm. Fearful, Emmeline obeyed her mother and never ventured outside alone. The walls of the cottage became her world, and she found comfort in the pages of fairy tales, many of which echoed her own life.

    As she grew older, her mother began teaching her witchcraft, a tradition passed down through generations of women in her family, a title Emmeline carried with pride. Her beloved fairy tales were replaced by spellbooks, which she studied for countless hours, absorbing all the knowledge she could. But as the years passed, her mother's visits became less frequent, and when she did appear, she sometimes acted as if she had forgotten she even had a daughter. When Emmeline discovered that her grandmother had placed a curse on another family, she became determined to help lift it. For the first time, she is stepping out into the world, driven by a deep curiosity for all that awaits her. She hopes that by breaking the curse and clearing her family's name, she can also uncover the truth about why she was kept sheltered as a child.

    Hair: A deep shade of auburn which she keeps cut fairly short - chin length - which she even still keeps pulled back in a half ponytail.
    Eyes: A striking blend of blue and green, with a sense of deep loss and pain behind them.
    Style: Her style is rugged and practical, reflecting years of survival and military training. She wears a set of worn half plate armor, forged from steel and iron, with a simple design. Beneath it, a burgundy tunic made of durable fabric provides comfort and mobility. Her dark woolen trousers and scuffed, reinforced boots are built for endurance, while a simple leather belt holds a few essential pouches and a utility knife. Her gauntlets are well-fitted, allowing for dexterity without sacrificing protection.
  • Frankie Rinaldi is fiercely determined and strong-willed, with an unwavering resolve that drives her to confront challenges head-on. She possesses a natural sense of duty and loyalty, often putting others' needs before her own. Though she can be guarded and serious, especially when focused on a goal, Frankie is deeply compassionate and cares deeply for those around her. Her sharp instincts and practical mindset make her an effective problem-solver, while her resilience ensures that she never backs down from a fight. Beneath her tough exterior, Frankie harbors a deep yearning for peace and connection, even if she struggles to express it.
  • Francesca Rinaldi was born into poverty, raised by a single mother after her father left before she was born. A generations-old curse, placed on her family by a vengeful witch, ensured that no woman in the Rinaldi line would ever find true love. Life on the streets was harsh, and Frankie quickly learned to fend for both herself and her ailing mother. When her mother succumbed to illness when Frankie was just fifteen, she sought refuge in the military. The soldiers took her in, trained her, and eventually placed her in their ranks. Frankie grew into a formidable warrior, fighting fiercely for those who couldn't defend themselves. Her dedication to battle became a way to distract herself from the curse, which she feared would forever deny her happiness. After suffering a wound in combat, Frankie was honorably discharged and sent back home. With no family left and her future uncertain, she is now determined to track down the witch who cursed her family and finally break the curse, once and for all.

Notes: I am looking for someone to take on and write as this character for a fantasy slow-burn romance roleplay (no smut). It will be a fxf pairing, with the other character being the one listed above this one (Emmeline). The story will revolve around the two of them going on an adventure to gather the ingredients to make the potion that will permanently reverse the curse that's on her. She is rarely seen without her deck of cards, which she keeps in a worn leather pouch at her side. More often than not, her skin is stained with delicate and intricate henna designs.
  • Amani is both charming and mysterious, drawing others in with her allure. Having a bit of a dramatic flair, she always plays into her mystique for an audience, often speaking in riddles to keep others guessing. Despite all of her theatrics, Amani is deeply sensitive and intuitive, and although she thrives on being in the spotlight, she's much more reserved in her personal life. Amani's belief in destiny is what drives her the most, and she is convinced that she is destined for something greater. She blindly puts her trust into her cards, and if she feels they're telling her to do something, she often does it without question, which can make her seem quite reckless.
  • Amani was born into a family of artisans in the bustling city of Azhara. Her mother was a dancer, captivating audiences with her moves, while her father was a skilled jeweler, crafting handmade pieces for the even the most elite people in Azhara. From a young age, Amani seemed to posses the ability to read others, being able to sense their desires or fears often before they even spoke. This gift, along with her natural flair for the dramatic, led her to follow in the footsteps of her parents in the Guild of Performers and Artisans. Even as a child, she enjoyed putting on made-up shows for others or joining in on her mother's dance performances. Although she appreciated her father's craft, she couldn't sit still long enough to give it a fighting chance, though he always made her jewelry which she wore with pride.

    When she was only twelve years old, Amani came across an old deck of oracle cards in the market that seemed to call her forth with a strange energy. Intrigued by them, she eagerly purchased the cards and took them home to begin experimenting with them. Much to her surprise, the cards seemed to respond to her in a way that went beyond just typical fortune-telling; they seemed to whisper secrets and reveal small visions of the future, they even granted her the ability to cast minor illusions and enchantments. With the cards, she was able to expand further on her intuitions than she ever imagined, unlocking her full potential. From that day forth, Amani was very rarely without her cards – they had become an extension of herself.

    As she honed in on her craft, she began doing readings for others, weaving her magic into them to make them into full-blown performances. Amani's skill and accuracy quickly made her a sensation in the Guild, and as word spread of her talent, people began coming to see her fortune-telling in action from far and wide. While all of her coin comes from giving readings to others, Amani herself has a close connection with her cards and does many readings in her own time, both to get insight on the world around her and for self-reflection. Some years ago, during one of her routine readings, Amani's cards showed her a vision of an island rising up from the sea. She recognized this island to be that of the legendary sinking island, Zafiria. Her reading hinted at an ancient power that had been long lost, but soon rediscovered. Captivated by this vision every day since, Amani has a feeling that her destiny is somehow tied to the island. When she heard of the Sultan's call, she knew it had to be about that reading. Knowing this could be her only chance to understand what the cards were telling her that day, Amani is determined to embark on the adventure to get the answers she desires.
  • Amani is a skilled cartomancer, using a deck of oracle cards to read fortunes and see glimpses of the future. Along with this, she has minor illusion and enchantment abilities, which are seen as harmless but can be extremely effective in captivating her audience and can be distracting to even a trained eye. Her enchantments typically consists of her making her cards float, shimmer, and even manifest fleeting but mesmerizing spectral images of what the cards see. Additionally, she has the ability to enchant people to make herself seem more alluring, allowing her to easily draw in an audience or talk her way out of trouble.

  • Due to her race, Pippi is short in stature, standing at only 3'5". She is lean from her many years surviving in the forest on her own, always travelling on foot. She has choppy, medium-length blonde hair that appears as though she frequently chops it off with a blade when it gets too long. It is stringy, disheveled, and matted in several areas. She wears simple armor made of leather which she crafted herself from dried animal hides, a green lightweight hooded cloak, and she is always barefoot. Her hazel eyes show years of buried down pain, though if you look deep enough you will find a glint of her natural gnome curiosity for the world.
  • Pippi is very standoffish to outsiders, finding it hard to trust anyone outside of her fox companion, Kit. Once breaking down her walls, Pippi is quite carefree and down to earth, having a deep connection with nature and its animals. Growing up the way she has she believes a simple life is a fulfilled life, and doesn't enjoy being weighed down by unnecessary items, or even people. She is both cunning and clever, using these skills to evade any possible threats. While she has a rough exterior and a hard time trusting others, deep at her core she is still a gnome, and while she has that side of her buried deep, she's still curious about the world and mindful of others.
  • Once upon a time in Faerûn, deep within the woods of The Dalelands, laid a community of forest-dwelling gnomes. Their village was small and close-knit, with many of their homes made in large hollowed out trees, while others made underground burrows for their homes. A reclusive society, they mostly kept to themselves, aside from the rare wanderer who would venture away from home. However, even they would often come back to say hello and tell the stories of their adventures.

    One fateful night, a band of goblin raiders riding in on worgs infiltrated their small village, stealing all they could and turning the entire place into a battlefield. The gnomes were badly butchered, only a lucky few were spared with their lives as they fled in terror from the scene. Hidden away in the opening of a small tree was a young gnome, Pippi, placed there by her parents before they, too, fell victim to the raiders' attack.

    Paralyzed with fear, Pippi sat curled in the mouth of the tree for what felt like an eternity, staying put long after the chaos had settled. When she finally emerged, she was met with a gruesome sight, one that would never leave her. Scared and alone, she ran off deeper into the woods, away from the wreckage of her home. On her own, she learned to fend for herself; how to hunt, gather, and craft the things she needed to survive.

    Pippi was hardened from her experience, travelling alone, finding it hard to trust anyone she encountered -- her only trust was in nature and the animals that she shared the forest with. She wasn't always alone, however, having eventually found a companion within a young fox, who she lovingly called Kit. They learned to communicate in their own way, and were always looking out for one another, in good times and bad.

    After decades of surviving alone, only Kit at her side, Pippi has begun to grow more curious of the world outside of the forest, albeit a bit apprehensive of it. Her experience with the goblins when she was only a child has caused her to mistrust outsiders, keeping her in the confinements of the woods all of these years. However, her natural gnome curiosity has grown more and more within her, driving a wanderlust in her that is beckoning her to adventure.
