  • I go by nly and I've been on and off roleplaying since 2015.​
  • I am most comfortable writing MxF pairings. I'm comfortable playing male characters, but for this female-centric thread, I'm only looking to play the lass.​
  • Instant attraction/love at first sight isn't really my cup of tea. I more so enjoy the natural progression of character dynamics as they grow, for better or worse, throughout the story.​
  • Romance is never a must, so if non-romantic pairings are more your speed, you're in good hands!​
  • I generally like to create new characters for roleplays, but I do have some beloved blorbos from the past that I'd be happy to modify for a new story/setting. Check them out here!​
  • I'm not looking to write smut-heavy content so please be aware of that before proceeding!​

  • I write 3rd person, past tense. I don't mind present tense but by default I assume we're writing in past tense.​
  • A writing sample will be requested for anyone who doesn't have any posts I can reference.​
  • Face claims are tricky. I can never find something that fits my bill, so I prefer to attach a written description along with my character sheets. Whether you attach a face claim or a written description is up to you! Let's just steer away from anime, yeah?​
  • Ghosting? A short, sweet text is preferred – if it helps, just shoot me the banana emoji and I won't ask questions.​
  • Heads up whenever I'm unable to reply or if I'm unable to continue the story. Life is demanding but I'll be sure to let you know I'm still alive even when I can't provide an update.​
  • Minimum of weekly replies ranging anywhere between 600 – 1500 words. You don't need to match my length but I do ask for quality posts that keep the story moving.​
  • OOC chatting isn't required but it is welcomed!​
  • Side characters will be assumed to be shared unless otherwise specified.​
  • This thread is primarily looking for male characters, however I'm not particular toward any IRL gender. If you can write a decent dude, come forth!​

  Muse A is known by most as a demure, doe-eyed princess. All her life, she has been heavily doted on by her family and attendants, and isn't one to leave the palace. Only one man knows that she isn't as naive as she pretends to be—Muse B, the mercenary she's hired to act as her informant and perform other clandestine tasks. Because of her high-profile status, their meetings can only ever take place under the cover of night, and both muses must be ever-vigilant to make sure they’re never followed to these secret meetings. Over the course of their partnership, they've built enough rapport with one another that one night, she brings him a new proposition: she wants him to train her.

  The rough and tough Muse A acts as security of sorts for one of the local crime syndicate's many fronts, a massage parlor that hosts syndicate activity on the down-low. On top of keeping the parlor girls safe from unruly clientele and rival gang interference, Muse A has unknowingly begun to catch feelings for the cattiest woman in the parlor, Muse B, who is also wrapped up in the criminal network to pay off a hefty debt to the syndicate leader. It's a confusing, clumsy thing to fall in love in the midst of such a messy lifestyle, yet here they are. Muse A denies any attachment harder than he denies anyone trying to solicit Muse B, meanwhile she chalks up all his weird behavior to petty sabotage—why else would he keep turning away her clientele?​

  
  

  • Either they've slept together or are sleeping together as just par for the course, or Muse A has his reasons for not soliciting, or Muse B just happens to playfully deflect his advances at every turn. There's lots of potential here and I'm happy to tweak the idea to our liking! Just keep in mind, I'm not looking to write a smut fest. I would much prefer fewer meaningfully intimate scenes than to write sex into every other post.

  Two wealthy families embark on a lengthy voyage aboard the Margate, a luxury ocean liner departing from Europe. Both families are prominent in the business world, and seek to use the long voyage for talks of a partnership. Heirs Muse A and Muse B have been advised to make a good impression and be on their best behavior, but through some unfortunate mishap very early on into the voyage, they've gotten off on the wrong foot, and must now endure the rest o the trip in the constant company of someone they despise.​

  Muse A belongs to an alien race that thrives on conquering other planets to enslave. With his eyes set on a lone, unprotected world in the far stretch of the cosmos, this next target should be quick work—except that one pesky human isn't having it.
  
  Enter the earthling Muse B, a prominent scientist in the middle of the grand unveiling of her latest innovations in space travel, who doesn't appreciate the interruption and demands to know what the deal is. When the alien conquerors explain that they are here to claim Muse B's world in the name of their leader, Muse B declares that no one's conquering anything on her watch, leading the invaders to believe that Muse B is some kind of royalty on her planet. Amid the sass and confusion, an agreement is made for the supposed "earth princess" to return to Muse A's world as a token of peace, a fair union between two worlds rather than a hostile takeover. Muse B agrees for the purpose of exploring alien technology, which confuses Muse B's people because they've never had a volunteer before.​
