It's lovely to be here and to be able to get back into the writing groove I love so dearly. I'm super excited to get to know you all, and hopefully create some beautiful stories.
First things first though, a proper introduction is in order!
My name is Arete, and I'm currently enrolled in University and an OTA (Occupational Therapist Assistant) program. I plan on getting my Doctorate in OT after completing my Bachelors. Needless to say, I'm a busy woman, but writing has been my passion for many years. That's why I'm here! On top of that, I'm also very interested in Greek Mythology, the ocean, and pretty much every genre of music out there. In general, I'm a very agreeable and laidback person. From what I've seen thus far, it seems that many people here are the same way. I've bounced around from site to site trying to find a place that meshes well with my preferences, and I really think that this might be it for me.
Back on the topic of writing and RP in general, I'm nowhere near inexperienced. I've been writing for around six years, and in the RP scene for about four. I've fallen in love with world and character building, and really delving into the psyche of the characters I create. On average, I write about 1000 words per response, though I have no trouble writing more. Especially if the plot and my partner's responses are enticing. The only thing I can't vibe with is one-liners. Writer's block is a thing, but I feel as though you can always write more than just one sentence in response. I'm a very understanding person when it comes to response times and waiting. All I ask is the same understanding in return. Life outside of writing comes first.
