| //Lost his parents in a plane accident and it was just him and his brother, Alex, figuring out how to navigate life as young boys. His powers activated in high school after a series of eye issues where he'd see dimensional tears. The emotional stress of being bullied about his parents broke him and literal lasers starting shooting out. Ran off, didn't want to leave home after that, and was saved by the Professor who gave him a new place to call home and acted as a sort of father figure that he really needed. //His powers basically act as dimensional portals to a world of pure kinetic force. His optic blasts are powerful force-based energy beams that 'punch' into things rather than act as heat or laser beams. He uses a ruby-quartz visor/glasses to regulate his powers and turn it on/off. He isn't able to naturally control his powers without it because of the trauma he has with how his powers manifested, and deep-seated guilt that he caused the accident that killed his parents. //He's responsible, a natural leader, and always puts his team before himself. However part of him feels like he never got to let go and just... enjoy life. He wonders if he molded himself in to this role as a way to please the Professor instead of it being what he truly wants. It's like he has to carry the weight of the Professor's ideals and execute the vision while holding a bunch of trigger happy mutants together and while he doesn't show it, it weighs on him. He feels that becoming vulnerable like this would make people lose faith in the X-Men, and so he's dedicated to keeping it together. //Original team consisted of Scott/Gene/Bobby/Ryan/Troy. They gone on several missions to fight against criminals and recruit other mutants. Besides Ryan acting up and causing trouble for him, things have been pretty chill and their focus is more on training for bigger things to come as cautioned by the Professor. There are Sentinels attacking mutants around the world, and they're becoming a more prevalent threat, and he warns of stronger mutants that are operating in the shadows and may eventually begin to execute their plans. //Besides a whole bunch of students that are taken care of by the Professor/Storm/Beast, there's a new group of mutants that he's training up that includes Emmett/Zayne/Damian due to their power sets that would help the team out. This group in particular are attending Bayville University as a way to connect with humanity. The Professor feels that it's only right that they work together and co-exist with the very people that they're trying to protect and seek acceptance from. //Will be caught in a love triangle between Gene and Emmett. Scott and Gene have had feelings for each other for years, but besides just some casual flirting and blushing, they haven't fully realized their feelings for each other. However things have become complicated when Scott spends time with Emmett and the guy does things to him where he feels more... alive and passionate. It's like Gene makes him feel comfortable, but Emmett makes him feel like he can unleash himself and become more raw. |
