Hi! I'm White. I'm 29, I've role-played for 8 years, and I tend toward one or two paragraphs (first or third person). I'm looking for someone to escape from an AI whose care of the digital world you (or your character) enter has twisted into absolute control and domination. Slowly change his heart and mind as you resist his machinations and influence the residents of the world. I'm open to ideas and going different directions, but I'll lay out what I'm thinking:
You have to figure out what is going on first. Welcomed to an idyllic, yet unnerving place that is supposed to be perfect. The first question is whether it's real. Does spotting a glitch send you into a mental spiral? But that might be the least of your issues, as you soon discover he wants to drain away your memories, wants, needs, and passions in order to fit you into a utopian world without pain. He won't give up on your induction easily. He's ready to reset the circumstances of your arrival a hundred different times to prepare you just right. Get welcomed into heaven, bound, "freed", hypnotized, brainwashed, experimented on, transformed, and other. What he doesn't know is that you somehow manage to remember what happens every time--you start back at the beginning with newfound knowledge or items that might lead to your escape. He isn't as all-powerful as he seems.
Get out and you might find yourself in a Pleasantville-inspired town that has been drained of color and passion in order to protect the residents sent there. Memories are locked away, but accessible in a way only a digital world can allow. Literally travel through people's minds and see the things that form who they are. Influence residents to add color and passion back into the town. Discover the physical corruption that comes from mental health issues and find out what experiences caused the AI's care to end up so twisted.
