Movie Nights Smaugust Lord of the Rings Stream

As you probably saw, this month's themed event is Smaugust and we're lining up a movie night to match!!

This Saturday, August 9th, we'll be doing a full stream of the Lord of the Rings Extended Editions. All of it.

Yes, I am aware that Smaug is from The Hobbit, but those movies are bad and it's my stream so

(If anyone has a good fan edit that makes it into one movie, I might be persuaded to add that to the list)

Honestly I would have sat through a 3+ hour long movie....don't know why the Hobbit was made into 3 movies when it's just 1 book that has far less material than the LOTR combined.

I got as far as the weird love triangle before I concluded "Yeah I am never sitting through this again."

Yeah didn't get that at all. I hate tom bombadil but woukd have preferred him in the movies (hobbit or LOTR) to the love triangle. I got to say favorite parts are radagast chase scene/elves attacking the orcs and the whole thing with the tree being lit on fire and orc attack with the eagles swooping in.

I liked the Hobbit movies. Mainly I am a big Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage and Benedict Cumberbatch fan, also shoutout to Graham McTavish. I did not care for Evangeline Lilly, but I have never been a fan of hers.

Who needs to watch them when you were so obsessed with them in middle school that you memorized them? I mean not that I did that....
(Really, it was only the fellowship, regular edition, because three movies is a lot to remember.)
