As a young girl, Solange was passionate, gentle, and curious of the world. It was not long before those passions were contained and directed towards the Nine when she joined the monastery. Her gentleness was turned into graceful strength when she became the page of ecclesial knight Yvonne d'Mielle. Her curiosity for the world did not last long beyond the mountains in the warring realms of Men. It was all too easy to say the Nine guided her goals and motivations. The monastery was proud when she eschewed the touch of men, when she professed her vow of chastity instead of the vow of maternity. Surely her aspirations to become a High Ecclesial Knight had nothing to do with the princess, but was merely a divine duty to her people. Without the merit of her common born kinmother's armor, it's likely she never would've traded her kin name for the name of the monastery.

Solange is a humble woman with a gentle face, despite a small scar on her lip from a wartime injury. Her height serves her well in lighting candles in the monastery, and her strong build helped her in her time at war. Her wavy copper hair, often braided, runs nearly the length of her hips. A light smattering of freckles covers most of her body, with a few extra on her oft sunkissed face. A life amongst the garden and battlefields have left her with a variety of small scars, but none that are severe. While typically favoring her left hand, she does write with her right hand.

β Early life
Born to a lowborn family in the royal graces, Solange was at a young age given to the monastery to give her the chance to have a high ranking clerical position through a life of divine service. She professed her first vows at age 9, and requested to be a page of an ecclesial knight the same year. She was taken under the tutelage of ecclesial Yvonne d'Mielle. During this time she was a servant to the Nine, helping with cleaning of the monastery, serving the Abbess and other clerics in their liturgical duties, simple crafting of goods like candles and scribing. She would be promoted to squire by age 14. She'd start to learn to fight, practicing with wooden blades in between dawn and morning prayers, and then again before mid day chores. The firm hand of the church gave her a structured foundation and she did her best to thrive.
β Early adulthood
At age 16, the Empire of Men attacked their allies across the mountain pass, and the monastic order sent several companies of ecclesial knights to defend them, as well as the King's army. She would experience the horrors of the battlefield until she turned 25, completing her second profession of vows and earning the title of ecclesial knight before coming back. The ecclesial knights achieved most of their war goals, but their ally was left severely weakened, and all but the barest forces were returned in the expectations of needing to defend their own homes. War had changed the once bright and loud girl into a solemn and disciplined woman. Returning to her duties at the monastery were a relief from the battlefield, but there was a part of Solange that had been left behind in the throes of war.
β Adulthood
After her return from the war, Solange was officially given the accolades of ecclesial knight, including her own set of armor, a title under royal decree, and a new set of duties to pursue at home. Where she ended fights in the war, she now tries to quell instability and corruption at home. While she still practices many of the church rituals, and is preparing for her third and final profession of vows, the world is quickly changing, and resilient woman is changing with it. The opportunity of winning recognition and earning the title of High Ecclesial Knight is now within her grasp, if her gauntleted hand holds firm enough to grab it.

An oblate of the monastery and her only sibling, he works to make several of the bells the monastery employs, and helps keep work in the family forge going strong as his parents age. Although he had started the monastic life as well, he couldn't commit himself to the vows and was sent back to his family with his name intact.
