I am by no means knowledgeable in speaking Japanese, I only know a few phrases, despite watching anime for years. But, even still, I try to use common phrases.
I am not new in forum roleplaying either, since I've been RPing for five years now. However three years of that experience was spent in chat RPing and tumblr. It was only through an RP friend that I found out about forum roleplaying.
I took a significant break in RPing between my last forum rp community and this, because my creativity is in the down low. Often I spend my time, in that break, to read short stories, anything that I could find. And when I searched "inner sanctum short writing" on google, this place came up. I'm hesitant to get back to writing, but hopefully I get my thrill back here.
So, that is my RPing history. My preferences is a different thing, altogether.
I would try and RP almost everything except horror, because I just can't get the grasp on how to write something good for horror. That's about it actually ^^
