yehua is a cranky young man with quite the temper. he treats everyone with contempt and is often disrespectful toward his superiors ( older siblings and father ). the only person he seems to be close to is his mother, whom he doesn't blame for the abuse he had to suffer in the course of the four years he spent in the kingdom of lang. his appointed servants are terrified of him and he often shouts or even hits them ; a habit that his mother has been trying to uproot, but has been unsuccessful. he's very studious and prefers to spend his free time in the library, studying medicine or music. he's considered very antisocial and rarely shows up in official events, like festivals or banquets, which has earned the criticism of many officials. due to the abuse he went through, he suffers from severe PTSD and although psychology isn't as advanced in his era, he knows for a fact that there's something there. he grows very uncomfortable around men and might go into panic mode, if a man he doesn't know well touches him. even if it's a pat on the shoulder, or something completely innocent. nevertheless, he considers himself homoromantic and has no interest in women. he's also grey - asexual and mostly repulsed by intercourse. if he's ever going to partake in any form of intimacy, he must know the other man well and feel safe around them.

yehua isn't very tall ( ~ 175cm ) and neither is broad or powerful looking. he's a slender young man, with long black hair and brown eyes. he's elegant and befitting of the title of a prince, despite his lack of manners. he's usually seen wearing expensive robes, made of the finest silk in various shades of pink. his long hair, that reaches his waist, is traditionally half pinned up and decorated with various flowers, again in pink. he modifies the sleeves of his robes, so he can store his poisoned daggers, that are used for defense.

jiang yehua is the second and youngest son of the emperor and empress of xia kingdom. he was born on a warm july night and was quite a pampered child. being the youngest of two brothers, he was cared for by his parents, brother and servants alike. yehua was a happy and kind child, that everyone liked. he treated everyone with respect and never hesitated to give to the poor and helpless, whenever he took walks around the capital. in short, life was perfect until yehua turned twenty - one. he was young, but dependable. so his father sent him to the neighboring kingdom of lang to create a truce between the two lands. yehua was courteous and seemingly talked the foreign emperor into accepting the truce. but before jian could celebrate his victory, the emperor of lang declared that he would not accept the offer and yehua was kept in lang as a hostage.
during his time as a hostage, yehua was abused in every form one could think about and that prompted him to try and take his own life, unsuccessfully.
it took four whole years for the emperor of xia kingdom to gain the strength to attack lang and retrieve his son. the emperor of lang was killed and yehua was able to return home, but the damage had been done. he was no longer the sweet and cheerful kid he was before. he was now a cranky young man who treated everyone with little to no respect. even his family was not " worthy " of his respect. yehua had never been talented in cultivation, like his brother. he was far more delicate and unable to wield a sword properly. thus, yehua had been trained in medicine before being kidnapped. now he's the head physician of xia kingdom and owns a large and expensive collection of daggers. their blades are infused with deadly poison and he doesn't hesitate to use them if needed. he often threatens those who do not show him respect, but will not kill them unless there's a good reason.
his father insists on marrying him off to a princess from a fellow kingdom, but yehua has turned them all away and refuses to be wedded.
