I have this really bad craving right now, lol. I'm looking for a fellow lover of romance to write the woman in this roleplay idea. Do you like soulmates bound together by fate? Or more accurately, two very different people bound together by a god seeking to stir up drama? Keep reading.

By the way, it takes place in a medieval-esque setting.

My expectations of you:
  • Be literate, please. Look at the roleplays linked in my signature for an idea of how much I write.
  • Talk to me. Feed me with ideas. At the very least, let me know what you think about mine.
  • Use drawn faceclaims and be okay with me doing the same. I'm not very good at realistic ones, especially if I can recognize the person. I know Tom Hiddleston and Henry Cavill are hot, but I won't use them as faceclaims.

My idea:
For as long as anyone can remember, people in their kingdom received a unique mark on their 18th birthday matching that of other person in the kingdom. From that moment, they shared the pain of the other person. For the most part, they found each other and formed a couple. They believed a god paired them together, a belief reinforced by the way people were generally matched within their social classes. The aristocracy proudly believed this proved their right to govern the people. Why would their god otherwise preserve this order, if not because he approved of the way things were?

On the evening before the crown prince's 18th birthday, nobles flocked to the palace to witness the moment he received his mark. Then, the hunt for his fated one would begin. At the stroke of midnight, the mark appeared on his chest. The guests cheered and toasted to his health. Suddenly, the prince curled up in his seat and hissed through his teeth before excusing himself.

For weeks, the king's men searched the land for his soulmate. Many whose marks resembled his were brought before him to compare the marks, but to no avail. The prince became frequently bedridden, wracked by a terrible pain he could not understand. No physician could identify his illness, so they surmised that the pain came from injuries dealt to his soulmate. They barely dared utter it aloud, but it seemed likely that the prince had been bonded with a slave. The high priest scoffed at the idea, though the investigation did not find any nobles who matched the little information they had.

A couple years passed, and the prince became accustomed to living with the pain. For the most part, he simply felt a gnawing hunger that would not subside no matter how much he ate, and he learned to almost entirely ignore it. Then, a bewildered woman in ragged clothes arrived at the palace in chains, having been told by her master just hours ago that she could make him rich.
