Known for their incredibly toxic spines, Spine Grubs are used for everything from assassination missions to medicine.

These grubs are typically found in heavy forests as well as in swampy areas. The variants that live in swamps tend to be more muted in colouration. They tend to live in groups, in large webbed cocoons, of approximately fifty to a hundred specimens. These animals do not need to hunt, and will generally wait for some kind of suitable prey to consume, and then the colony will drop on the victim. The highly toxic spines of the Spine Grub cause paralysis almost immediately, allowing the grubs to feed on the paralyzed creature at their leisure.

Spine Grubs eject an acidic bile onto the flesh that they are going to consume, liquifying it for easy consumption.
