Hello Sanctum Dwellers,
As we draw in ever closer to that 500 member mark, we thought this month would be a good chance to inform everyone how they can help keep this site growing. We have big plans and hope you'll like them, but they only work if we expand. More members, more features, more things for all of you to do.
First, there's a terrific blog post by @Otys explaining why we spend so much time asking for your votes and why doing so is important. We've also now added a medal for voting. All that is needed is to tell an admin its been done.
Second, there's our social media. Our Facebook page and our Twitter Account. It's important to follow one or both, simply because this is the way we can best inform you of issues, maintenance, and outages that do unfortunately happen from time to time. I think the issues today highlight the importance of that.
Thirdly, is our big recruitment push. This involves 3 things:
1. Medals for any user who shares our posts or our site link on their social media. If you wish to do so but want something specific put up for you to share, PM myself or @Dreamoness
2. Our Corrupting Influence medal has been around for a while. It goes to anyone who recruits a member to our site. If someone here recruited you and doesn't already have it OR if you recruit someone, PM an admin and let us know
3. In line with number 2, we're going to ask that if you know ANYONE who might be interested in our site, you extend an invitation; Solo writers, roleplayers , partners or former partners of yours whom you have on Skype or email, even artists or people who would enjoy the atmosphere. We're a writing community and a community works best when people are involved and know each other.
Final thing.
We're adding in a new staff position, for which we will only be accepting 8 members at present. This will consist of people who are willing to promote our site actively on social media. Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Tumblr, any other site you can think of. If interested, please send the application form in this post to the @sanctumstaff account. The title of this position is the Sanctum Street Team.
