⠀the self⠀Though born within the forests of the Wilds, Sylvain doesn't speak much of her past. Much of the time it has little to do with the present and see no reason to share her story when it is ever changing. She resides within the forest, but keeps her true home hidden from others in hopes no one stumbles upon it. This wood elf enjoys her solitude and oft will ignore most people who make their way through, unless a problem arises.

A leather makeshift bag carrying herbs and other healing items with her.⠀the story⠀Sylvain, a formidable wood elf was born beneath the twilight canopies of the forest, raised in a community that prided itself on its bond with nature and their reverence for ancient traditions. From an early age, Sylvain demonstrated an affinity for healing before any for of physical manipulation of the forest was seen. Her gift was recognized by the elders and nurtured by her mother, where she learned how to harness magic for healing.
Tragedy struck when she was young as a strange sickness spread through a part of the forest close to her home, killing critters and plant life alike in it's wake. She learned she could feel the pain of both flora and fauna, their whispered please of help that echoed in her heart. The elders and other healers were swift to work on a solution, inviting Sylvain to join them with a possible new insight.
She helped find the source of the blight, tracking it down to a withering witch who had a specific target; another Elf within her clan. In hopes to avoid a battle, Sylvain reported this to the Elders and the targeted Elf stepped forward to speak with the witch. Despite their talks and the elf's attempts, the witch would not relent and battle followed. Despite her old age, she was powerful, holding her ground as many of her own fell to her magics. Eventually, after hours of battle and exhaustion reigned over the elves, Sylvain was able to get the last hit in, killing the witch in what she considered a lucky draw. She had simply snuck over while the others fought and some of her peers had made it known they did not agree with it.
Despite this, the magic from the witch left and the forest affected began to heal. Since then, she had continued honing her skills in healing through magic and protected the forest. For some time, her peers still hadn't been happy about her sneaking the final blow in on the witch. Sylvain decided to pull away from the others, spending most of her time within the forest and amongst the animals she befriended.
