CHRISTOPHER WINDSOR
Story: The Dragon Chronicles (Current with @Seravian )
Age: Nearing his 30th birthday
Eyes: Emerald
Hair: Gaelic Red, combed neat, slightly wavy, and parted to the left
Tone: Celtic Fair, but not super pale
Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 183 lbs.
Occupation: Reporter for Washington Post
Era: Modern
Personality: Christopher is has never been your average guy, and less so since encountering a creature of legend at the age of 5. Though a romantic at heart; he has yet to court a single woman since seeing the lady dragon that rescued him almost 25 years ago that night. To him, none can measure up to how beautiful she is, and not one woman has been able to break through this enchantment...several have tried. As such, Chris is not seen flirting or actively socializing with women in such a romantic manner. He is rather analytical and adventurous, and he is certainly more perceptive than most. For the most part, Chris is a very kind person...though perhaps a bit too truthful...something that has gotten him in trouble more than once. He keeps an open mind, and thus such topics most might find absolutely insane or impossible; he at least listens to. After all, having a dragon save you in a time when such creatures are nothing more than myths can have a profound impact on one's outlook.
History: Christopher Windsor was born almost 30 years ago to loving parents up in Washington. His mother, Amanda Windsor, was a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance Studios...from whom he learned how to ballroom dance, and his father was Marcus James Windsor, a District Attorney killed in a car accident shortly after Chris turned 4 years old. Chris became a rather solemn boy after the loss of his father so suddenly, but things were to change for the boy on the evening of his fifth birthday. Seeking escape from depression, and wanting to explore; little five year old Chris wandered away from his house into the woods. It wasn't long before he encountered a man coming out of the shadows. Frightened beyond his ability to move or scream; Chris could only watch as the man stalked closer and closer. He found himself blinking face first in the dirt, and turned only in time to see a winged creature from legends and myths turning the man into ashes with an inferno blast...hovering in the air with deadliness and beauty. A dragon...a dragon had saved him. A dragon, that a moment later landed turned into a woman of such beauty that to this day Chris still cannot describe her. She swore him to secrecy with a simple touch of her finger to her lips, and he never told anyone from that day forward.
It changed him...this encounter with a creature that should not have existed except in stories and legends long gone. From that day forward, Christopher Windsor sought her out, and as he grew...so did his resources. Writing became his greatest talent, and he soon went into journalism...always with one goal in mind: to find the dragon. As he grew, he still could find no trace of her. It wasn't from lack of trying. He simply could not discover who she was, where she went...nothing. Years he searched...every day of his life that was not consumed by other tasks...he searched, but found nothing...not even hints of her. Eventually, he became a reporter for the Washington Post, but this was to change his life as well later on.
From his close encounter with a dragon, and with something he was sure might have been a vampire...Christopher took to learning martial arts...particularly Wing Chun, and even the use of a sword. He was all too aware that humans were not alone in the world as most believed. There were things that went bump in the night...things that were fell and deadly, and he had no intention of being at their mercy. Yet, he never sought them out...not once. Instead, his focus ever remained on finding her...the dragon. Her beauty had given him the very definition of how divinely gorgeous a woman could be. Thus, he was enchanted...smitten by this female dragon from the age of 5. He simply could not accept into his life any other...no other would do. He didn't just want to find her in order to thank her...or to prove he had not yet gone insane. He wanted to find her...to confess to her that he loved her...and always would. Oh, there had been women in his life attempting to get his interest, but almost all of them had given up rather quickly. It was in his eyes...he was already taken. It said better than any wedding ring or other piece of jewelry.
Now, Christopher's life changes yet again. President Andrew Vincent Price of the Washington Post gave him a personal assignment. It is one he has longed for all his life. It is to find out the existence of dragons. His President's offer was based on a personal belief in the existence of dragons, and from a newspaper article almost completely lost...an article on how a boy from Washington had survived both fire and attack from a man found burnt to ash...a mystery that had never been followed up on.
With the assignment accepted, being paid handsomely for his work, keeping all of it in journal form only for the eyes of Mr. Price; Christopher finds himself on his way to Chicago for an art show. It is the continuation of an adventure that began almost 25 years ago for him.
