State of the Sanctum ... Ten Years Later

I love this place mostly for the smut. Just kidding! (no, really).

I’ve made some great friends (and you know who you are), and participated in some great stories and adventures along the way.

But surprisingly, the Sanctum has thought me many things about life, about friendship, and about myself, like apparently I’m old.

Here’s to another ten!

gods below 8 bloody years i have been here and counting. things have changed around here so much sense i first joined. james had respect then but he was also kind of a monster. now hes just a weirdo and is blamed for everything.

a favorite memory, honestly i cant really say i have a favorite memory there are too many to pick from. though i will say the sanctum chat couch should probably be replaced and set on fire then feed the ashes to something that can take hazardous waste. anyway if i had to pick i would pick from something recent.

i have to say my pick would be finally getting to play D&D I've always wanted to but every game was always full or full of drama till someone decided to make a game for me and gathered a group. that person is amazing and has my gratitude forever. i also need to thank the players who have made the campaign so much fun @Topaz @Grek @Ipsie @sassafras @fenrisulfr and you know what they can get mad thank you @Mikki. when the game started i was in a rough spot and you guys really helped me. so yea that's my fav memory. love you all.

I've officially been on this site for a month and a half and I'm literally in love!!! I feel so welcome, and like I actually have friends here!!
My favorite memory thus far has probably been when people know me even a bit well enough to make fun of me. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside....because I'm definitely not a brat. No matter what ANYONE says.

I tend to be far more active on the monthly events and watch parties!! (And of course, my writing interests have changed again and now I'm editing my character lists...)

I would say my favorite memory (currently), is from the Halloween stream. It was neat to see all the lights and decorations, and I watched a few movies I wouldn't normally watch by myself.

I hope to have more great memories. To 10 more years!

Though I haven't quite been here a year yet, this site holds a special place in my heart. It was the first forum RP site I joined so I wasn't sure if I was going to like it but the stories and people I have met are incredible. Also Chat always makes me laugh and I have enjoyed the movie nights. Honestly, this is one of my little corners of the internet that I can truly be myself.

Here is to another 20 years because that is probably how long it will take for me and partners to finish all of our stories (Not kidding, one of my partners and I already have sequel RPs planned once we get done with our current one that has like 10 different plot ideas boiling)
