Apologies, but the Cat's Scratching Post is currently closed and under repairs for the time being. Once new scratching posts have been installed, it will re-open and I will once more be looking for new partners. I thank you for your understanding in this matter. Should you wish to be informed of when that happens, simply send me a message.
So, this is what it's come to, eh? I've lurked long enough, messaging the occasional person who's caught my interest, but that feral writer's energy fails to subside. I figured it's time to cast out the line and see if I get any takers to help create something magical.
About Me
I've been writing off and on for roughly 20 years now, with my RPing time being a few years less than that. It took me a few years to realize solo writing isn't for me, I need someone to bounce ideas off of, someone to interact with in the story. I typically prefer a low-fantasy setting,
I absolutely love coming up with and discussing various ideas and potential twists and plot points as well. If we start writing, expect random ideas and/or questions to be tossed around throughout the day. Not only that, I'm open and willing to just shoot the shit in DMs as we write.
About Potential Partners
I expect my writing partners to be able to match my minimum post length (one or two paragraphs), at the bare minimum. The actual post length, however, can be as long as you wish, so long as you, in turn, don't expect me to try and match your own post length. First or third person doesn't matter. I would prefer your posting schedule to include the potential for back and forth replies through-out the day, but I know that's just not feasible for everyone. However, I do request more than one post a week. I know life can be hectic and difficult, but it's just more difficult for me to sink my teeth into a story with lengthier wait times. That being said, if it turns out that we click, expected posting schedules will become much more lax.
That being said, I also know that there are times when one is just not feeling a story at the current point and you just need a bit of time and that's perfectly fine. I would much prefer it if you would let me know, though, so I'm not stuck worrying if you've started to lose interest or if I need to change up my last post or anything like that. I will also send out a reminder poke if it's been 72 hours since a reply has been made, just as a reminder. I know the more stories one has going at once, the harder it can be to keep track of what does and doesn't need replies.
Reply Length/Time and Post Schedule
My replies tend to vary, but I typically won't go anything less than two paragraphs. A single paragraph is more rare, but it does happen from time to time. The more detail I have to work with, the easier it is for me to get the lengthier replies in. If I ever put out a single line reply, be sure to contact a staff member ASAP because my account has been hacked and someone is trying to slander my name with such actions. On average, I tend to go between 100 to 300ish, but I've pumped out a few 1k+ posts depending on what's going on.
My typical reply time frame usually depends on how cooperative my mind is being (thanks, ADHD). Even with hyper focusing, sometimes it just takes a few minutes for me to remember the words to get the images/thoughts down. So long as I'm conscious and at home, minimum time on average is about 45ish minutes to an hour, while maximum sometime that day or the next. If I'm waiting on a message from you regarding details or a question about how something is happening in the story, I'll start replying once I get a response.
I'm situated in CST and on days that I work, it's from around 2pm to 10pm and then I'm available until around 5 or 6am.
Tolerance Levels, Ratios, and Kinks/Limits
Gore and violence is a-okay with me. In fact, I tend to quite enjoy mixing in some violence and action to spice up the drama. I also quite enjoy traumatizing my characters, both physically and mentally. Getting stitches, cauterizing wounds, spilling blood (both theirs and not), all pretty common. If there's some form of accelerated healing involved, that just means there's more room for pushing the physical and mental states. That being said, I do also try to balance it out with the more calm and mushy/wholesome/cute moments in a story.
Smut is also perfectly fine with me. The ratio would depend on the story, however, as opposed to a set ratio that I prefer to write with. As a general rule of thumb, I don't like writing smut solely for the purpose of having smut in a story. I much prefer if it made sense to the plot and/or characters rather than having the characters simply be "Hey, I'm bored, let's fuck." I'm also fine playing either dom or sub, but I've yet to try my hand at a sub male or dom female, so keep that in mind. Though I wouldn't mind giving it a shot!
As far as kinks, I haven't gotten around to making a list quite yet, but if you wish for our characters to get a bit kinky, by all means say so and we can discuss what we want to add in. If it's not listed under my limits, then there's a not-zero percent chance of it being added. Speaking of limits- Toilet-related, vomit, gore, intense pain.
Genres, Pairings, and Plot Potential
I'm fine with either MxF or FxF, playing either gender, though I would prefer female if possible. Speaking of, as stated I typically write low-fantasy, but I'm not against trying my hand at sci-fi, post apocalypse, or even horror. I also wouldn't be against trying high-fantasy, but it might take some convincing/just the right setting/pairing.
As far as pairings, I don't really have any specific ones that I've got an itch for and am honestly open for mixing and matching as we see fit. Those with a strikeout are ones that are taken to the point I would prefer to not play as them to keep wires from being crossed. Options I would be interested in would be-
Werewolf (Leaning more towards actual wolf instead of wolfman/b-movie style, but not opposed to swapping things around)- Vampire
- Hunters (werewolf, vampire, demon, or otherwise)
- Angel
- Demon
- Human
- Mutant
- Dragon
- Shapeshifter
Current Itches That Require Scratching
Something sci-fi , oddly enough. Not entirely sure of any plot or sub-genre though. Also I've been craving playing a neko/cat girl, though again, unsure of any plot or anything past that just yet.
