hi ya! trying my hand at a medieval roleplay i've posted over on the Poe's Corner. i have two players involved thus far, and surely looking for a few more if possible! if you're interested, please respond here! <3
PLOT:
In the kingdom of Alguedoria, surrounded by crystal sapphire waters and abundant sea life, rule the mundane Devereux family, who lead by power and dominance, yet care for their civilians as though they were of their very blood, feared, and loved on an equivalent scale. Known for their introductions to trade and commerce, the land suffered much less than other isles from poverty and crime. Alguedoria was a kingdom many desired to inhabit but found it hard to bring those desires to fruition due to its strict visitation laws. The Devereux had to protect what they've built, as selfishly as they could, to preserve as much peace and tranquility all walks of life were to have. They had extraordinary fighters due to the popularity of the kingdom. Many wars began, but the Devereux always finished them; it was rare to have ever lost a battle they had encountered.[/center]
But after decades of triumph, a new war was coming, a war more violent and passionate than ever, the largest the royal family had ever encountered, and danger loomed heavily upon the sanctuary of Alguedoria. Murders, violent crimes, person-snatchings, and other offenses erupted in the span of days, the Devereux's enemies were finding ways to slip into their land, striking Alguedorians with fear and growing choas. They needed to be stopped... .
The royal family's youngest child, Simone, was their only daughter and crowned Princess. Constricted to her royalty and nobility, a tremendous weight of responsibility, diplomacy, and courage, young Simone possessed a different sense of courage than any ordinary princess. She longed to be more; a fighter and a knight, and she would have stopped at nothing to get what she wanted. Royalty was never her passion, she'd wish many a time to be among the men, battling in the field with honor and dignity, and a fighter she would become under the guise of her unsuspecting family and the growing fire that this war has ignited. Simone hungered to defend her family, legacy, and land while proving to her kingdom that she was a capable warrior. But she could not do it all on her own. She'd need the help of patrons along her journey to execute her plans to ally with all races, beings, mundane or not to end the cruelty this new enemy has reigned over Alguedoria.
Simone needs YOU. Warrior, will you aid her in her fight, or will you cower in the shadows until your home is next?
