Ninth Nova

The Ninth Nova is set in a single star cluster (the Nova Cluster), named for its nine habitable worlds spread across the many star systems it holds. Humans make up a considerable part of the cluster with a large influence through corporations, though there are a handful of other dominant extraterrestrial species inhabiting it.

Worlds

Ariaka
(ah-ree-ah-kah)

The human world that was stripped of most natural life and filled with megacities to be run by corpos.

Vion
(vee-yohn)

The totalitarian freezing planet enforced by artificial intelligence, yet is economically one of the best in the cluster.

Korik's Triad
(koor-ix tri-yad)

The gas giant with three moons, two of which have functioning societies, the third, and smallest, used as a prison for the system.

Chimera
(kai-mee-rah)

The binary planet, twin worlds that are tidally locked, one being a terraformed volcanic world called Seth, the other full of plantlife with high biodiversity called Osiris.

Tan Ferou
(tahn feh-roo)

The ocean world prone to high velocity winds and cyclones from the lack of land, most technology and civilisation residing deep underwater.

Tyson
(ti-suhn)
A small wasteland of a world that was once entirely jungle-ridden, harvested by Kleinfeld Industries until it was unable to naturally sustain life.

Ariaka

General

In Orbit
Two small moons, Lokima and Shotin, orbiting Ariaka on separate orbits. Both are entirely corporate property, different regions of each owned by numerous megacorps with Kleinfeld Industries owning the most.

Fokloma (for-kloh-mah): has one of the highest densities of megacities and corporations, Nordune City being the capital. Most cities in Fokloma have class divided regions, such as an uptown, downtown, and uncommonly a midtown depending on the population.

Korik's Triad

General

In Orbit
In the orbit of Korik, a gas giant, are three moons: Arnados, Delphaeus, and Knidoly.
All three moons are terraformed and nearly identical in environment, almost entirely artificial up to the atmospheres.

Knidoly is the smallest, used for housing all the criminals of the Triad in hundreds of facilities.

Delphaeus is the largest moon, where the majority of Triad dwellers live, though overworking is a common problem amongst the people due to an incessant need to prove your usefulness, inspired by the many laws around employment.

Arnados is the lowest in population and in the middle ground of size, with a lot of nature, though it is manufactured, and cleanest atmosphere. It's where the richest population reside, as buying a ticket to live on Arnados is highly expensive and considered a luxury despite the cutthroat social etiquette there.

Biomes
Natural biomes have been eliminated, all three moons resembling a low altitude rocky grassland with low biodiversity, artificial, routinely scheduled rain, and a lukewarm temperature. There are warmer and colder spots over each moon, but largely it's all the same with the entirety of each world being dominated by infrastructure.

Weather
There is constant wind, again an artificial creation, as well as light rain to maintain the ecosystem, though there is no trace of natural weather after the terraforming. While weather is a lot more gentle, due to a lower atmospheric pressure it is constantly noticeable with rain being more common and windy weather being the norm. Also, the rain falls much slower due to a lower gravity; while terraforming has recreated nearly earthlike conditions, the native species is used to a low gravity world and so recreated that in the Triad as humans are in the minority.

Nature
Low biodiversity
Polluted atmosphere
Orange, brown, red, and purple rock formations/dirt
Mostly small, robust plants due to hazardous environments

Biomes

Weather

Sandstorms are common, though often are mixed with dirt, so people usually wear loose and protective clothing, even goggles or helmets.
There is usually a drought annually and clean water becomes a currency during them.
Average temperature is 84°F/29°C
