She's always known that somewhere in the woods, there's been someone watching her, and she's always known which particular set of eyes it's been. It's never really made sense, because how can you know someone is watching you? Let alone that you know it's a particular individual? But nonetheless she knew deep down that not only was this person watching her, but he was keeping her and her family safe. She knows this, because she remembers the time her home was attacked, and from the dark came arrows loosed fierce and true. The attackers fell, their bodies pierced by these shafts lodged into vulnerable spots with unerring accuracy.
So it was for most of her life until adulthood, and she had always long wondered, who was this mysterious protector? More than once her father had reported finding the bodies of people or creatures that would have threatened her family, dead before they had even reached her small village, what had she and her family done to earn themselves a guardian angel of sorts? Why did this mysterious man never show himself? She knew it was silly to imagine it was a man, but somehow she knew it must be true.
One day, however, her life is changed, when an event occurs that brings their paths together...

Joke aside, you can call me Dura, I'm here to prepose this roleplay idea to someone, to play a female character.
The plot idea is that YC's family has been protected by an unknown individual for a long time, his true identity is that of a drow ranger named Vlondril, and he hides himself because most people on the surface do not react well to drow. For very understandable reasons given you have a 1 in 100 chance that said drow isn't going to do something horrible to you. Drow who are not evil are far and few between, and little wonder given the influence of their malevolent goddess Lolth who does all she can to ensure the seed of goodness is stamped out before it can grow in every drow.
Some however, escape her tangled web, Vlondril is one of those.
I've marked this with 'sensitive content', because I'm unsure as to what might be sensitive for people, but Vlondril has a pretty traumatic backstory that might upset some people, I'm not sure. It's more the kind of backstory that would make you want to hug him more than anything but who knows, if you aren't worried then don't worry about it, if you are then DM me.

Onto expectations
- Very minimal smut, I'm looking primarily for plot and a slow burn romance, I find my interest in a roleplay dwindles FAST if you jump into sex scenes too quickly
- A literate partner, this is important, if you can't write more than a few sentences, a paragraph(And I'm not talking about matching here), your grammar and punctuation is broken, or keep your tenses(future, past, present) straight then we're probably not a good fit. I'm not asking for you to be able to write huge amounts of stuff, but I am asking for it to be formatted and readable, in other words if I have to mentally correct a lot of errors then there's a problem
- Sometimes I fail to think of certain things, so if there are any concerns you have, or ideas, please bring them up with me
- When you do DM me, bring up any limits you have, though to be clear here I'm pretty vanilla and therefore safe for the most part, topics such as SA as an example tend to be reserved for narrative purposes only and never as any kind of gratification on my part, I find things to be deeply distasteful and my blood boils at the idea of anyone committing such an act.
- I like a lot of wholesome romance, but I am also 200% okay with relations between characters being hostile in the beginning, enemies to lovers kind of stuff, I'm sure there's a lot of other type of tropes I'm not thinking of right now.
- I would prefer you not play a basic human in this, if possible, I get humans a lot
