Overview
Created before time even began, Isaihen was a loyal angel just like every other. His eyes were bright as his wings and his lover for the Creator was true. But a power rested within him that was greater than any other fletchling, a power that could rank him as an archangel if he followed his training and stood up to the tests that would be laid before him. This would never come to fruition though, as an uprising spread through all of the heavens. Isaihen joined the battle, but he was not ready for the destruction his power would create. He would slaughter many of his brothers who stood with the Archangel Lucifer in his uprising against the Creator, but would ultimately desert the battle.
When the uprising was quelled, Isaihen was taken into custody and pronounced guilty for his desertion. He was not harmed for his merit and work in protecting the Throne of the Creator, but he was bound in a chain of fire that would bind up his angelic spirit, and was cast down to the Earth to spend eternity or a lifetime, whichever came first. For centuries he was angry and bitter for his fate, lashing out at anyone who dared come near him, and centuries more, he went into hiding, finding no reason to continue his life, but lacking the will to end it.
Towards the close of the bronze age, Isaihen made his way into the human world, having spent years thinking of the ways he could learn from what had happened in his past. Over time, he grew to understand humanity, and on many occasions had spent whole lifetimes with humans, having come to love them for loving him for what he was. They would pass...and he would move on. It was a cycle of rebuilding, and even though it hurt to outlive a loved one, it made him love the time he could spend with humanity all the more.
Once he had learned how to blend into human society, he began turning his attention to another focus, getting revenge on those who remained from the uprising. He would become a demon hunter. From ruthless vampires to rabid werewolves and any other hostile mythical monsters that made their way into the human folklore. Through time he learned of the mythical creatures who only wished to live in peace, and ultimately left them alone, turning his attention to the incredibly high rates of demon manifestation as the occult became a bigger and bigger sensation in the growing world, perfecting several purification arts in the process of his work.
As others of his kind would come out to be these amazing mystics or powerful magicians, he instead chose to remain in the shadows as a mystery or myth. He believed that his life was too chaotic to be dragging the skeptics and the mundane into it.
