Height:
5'3"
Hair:
Brunette through and through. Deep, dark hair that she normally keeps long and down in natural waves. Cooler tones that make her hair seem even darker. Maintains it herself and in her inexperience has led to some choppiness/inconsistency in length. Ends up fitting nicely with her unconventional/alternative style and her over all messiness.
She uses her hair as a shield and when she's ready to put it behind her (usually only temporarily), she'll brush it behind her ears. Seen running her hands through it particularly when she's deep in thought, or raking them through when she's stressed.
Eyes:
Hazel eyes that are a true mix of all the major hits; flecks of brown, green, blue. Yet they settle into a nice, dark-chocolate brown the majority of the time. It takes the right light and the right feelings to produce that kaleidoscope.
She avoids eye contact as much as possible, keeping her head down when she walks through halls or even through the grocery store. It's...
intimate in a way she feels under her skin. It makes her uncomfortable. In conversation, her attention is often split between a place in a given room (or various places depending on her anxiousness) and a person's eyes. It's easier when she knows someone better, but even then she can struggle with those she considers close.
Body:
Small to medium chest with porcelain skin and slender curves. She's more lean than muscular, but given she's on the level-headed and happier side, she's got a bit more give/softness to her. Self-harm scars along her outer thighs— old, raised, and lighter than her skin.
Her shoulders tend to curve in and while she doesn't hunch over in a seat, she leans. Makes herself smaller than she already is. She would love to experience the world but not be subjected to it.
Clothing:
Casual, alternative. You'll find her in nondescript clothing with the occasional feminine garb here and there when she gets a rare burst of energy. Hoodies and well-fitting jeans. T-shirts and shorts. Her style is built to blend in. Dark and neutral tones. First and foremost is comfort as any scratching and pulling distracts and irritates her.
Bits and Bobs:
Is often found reading trash romance novels (romantasy in particular) and avoiding interacting with the general public and not because she hates the world and everyone in it. She actually cares deeply for those around her, but feels as though she has a difficult time connecting.
Big people-pleaser. She cares and loves to her own detriment. That was the predominant way she was raised; believing her worth derived strictly from what she could provide rather than who she is.
Habits and Tics:
Bites and picks at her nails until her cuticles bleed
Leg bouncing and knee-knocking
Opening and closing her mouth when she has something to say, always second guessing herself

Family:
Born to James and Elizabeth Clark, a young, happily married couple who had already had a young boy, Nicholas, six years prior. They were your (mostly) traditional home where James had a decent job and lived a decent life, while Elizabeth, 'Liz', nobly stayed home and raised their children. Only taking a job during the months their children were in school to build savings and a rainy day fund.
When that rainy day arrived there was no amount of money or prayers in the world that could have changed anything. Elizabeth passed suddenly and Sadie carries the guilt of that with her to this day. It wasn't her fault. Fundamentally, everyone knew that. It didn't stop everything from changing. The sun no longer rose and set with her in her father's eyes and she remembers the moment she felt that shift. He would never say it outright or admit to it, but things really did change after that for James and the way he saw his daughter. The two of them had always been loved and cherished equally by their parents while their mother was alive, but in her passing Nicholas quickly became the golden child while she was left somewhere behind. Learning in time that she was wanted more when she was helpful. Useful. And heard from much less.
