As we, all nobles of the Sanctum must surely know, all of the best and most advantageous marriages are built on political interests, coercion, and massive dowries that can put a struggling noble family fallen on hard times back at the top of the aristocratic foodchain.
Here's the deal: The Asham are a semi-nomadic people group comprised of several tribes that roam a vast area of mountainous terrain and open steppes. The Asham exist as a united confederation of several smaller tribes that fell under the banner of a single ruler centuries ago. Though they share a common language and culture their practices and beliefs are widely varied from group to group. They are renowned for the skill of their mounted warriors, their success in razing and looting various cities, and the hardiness of the horses and livestock they breed and raise. For a nomadic, tribal people, the Asham are extremely rich from all of their raiding exploits and tribute exacted from cities and landed nobles that wish to be left alone.
The current chieftain of the Asham is a powerful man with several children, and none of them have brought more glory to the tribe than his eldest, a daughter called Ashideena, princess of the Asham, and an experienced warrior, and strategist. She has been living by the sword and participating in raiding parties since she was only fourteen and is revered by her people as an exemplary warrior maiden.
Her family is seeking to marry her off though, low-key concerned that she will eventually begin upsetting the power dynamic of the traditional patriarchal tribe and challenge her father or her younger brothers when she gets older. They have attached to her a fantastic dowry, chests, and chests of gold, precious jewels, and silks, along with one thousand of the tribe's finest horses as befitting a bride of her status.
Bridegrooms should beware though, the Asham are not a people for the faint of heart. Other humans fear them greatly, as they are said to worship mysterious and terrifying gods, to practice a variety of taboo rituals, namely haruspicy, (using animal entrails to interpret events and divine the future), and regularly engage in cannibalism, eating their own respected dead and the bodies of worthy enemies and believing that doing so will allow them to gain the desirable attributes of the deceased.

Should any be brave enough to seek the hand of Ashideena, it would be an extremely advantageous match for any man seeking to gain power, but first, of course, he must either tame or find a way to get along with this savage princess~
