Tilly's Town
Finding themselves surrounded by forest, lost in this maze and far from the kingdom, the Tilly's sat in a small clearing, eating the last of the food left in their cart. Somehow, at some point, this family of merchants had taken a wrong turn and never made it to Spiritcrest, a town a day away from the kingdom where merchants and adventurers go to exchange goods. Now they were stuck here, unsure of which way they came and unsure of where to go. Their only choices left was to allow themselves to die or to make the best of their situation. Choosing to live, the small family of five began building a small hut to live in, keeping themselves out of the weather and out of the way of the creatures roaming at night.
For some of the creatures, fire was enough to keep them at bay. For others, objects they had on hand helped in ways they would have never guessed. But there were a few who watched from the shadows, the kind that the family couldn't fend off if they attacked. Over the centuries, the small hut turned into a small town, clearing a part of the forest to make room for the new houses. Others who had become lost eventually found their way to Tilly's Town and for generations their family's thrived here, any who came and left were rarely ever seen a second time. While much of the world outside this forest has moved into a more technological advancement, Tilly's Town remains forever stuck in an ancient era and it seems the human residences do not want to change that.
Howling Forest
The forest that takes up more land than the kingdom would like. They have tried for thousands of years to cut through some of it and expand their kingdom, only for each of those cutting into the trees to eventually die gruesome deaths. This forest is alive and protected by a Leshy whose attitude towards people varies based on how each person interacts with the forest and their overall behavioral. Human's with any sense don't dare venture far into the woods and the supernatural who do live there have made it their home.
Wyrmbone Woods
An infamous draconic graveyard that is a three days carriage ride from Tilly's Town, littered with the bones of ancient dragon's long lost to the world. It was said that the scale of a dragon could make the best healing potions, while their blood gave you a stronger spirit. But their bones, their bones when carried the spirit of the dragons. Rage, spite, greed or arrogance, these powerful emotions have caused the forest to flourish in a way that only the draconic would find fitting. Their bones would make some of the strongest weapons and many warriors have been known to attempt to enter the woods to get a piece for themselves. However, the dying dragons took care that the forest would protect their remains from pilferer's, and several draconic cults have made the woods their home.
