residence: he travels all over the world, but always finds himself going back to Mondstadt. Sometimes, he even stays quite a bit in Liyue.

occupation: Knight of Favonius/Well known Mercenary all over Teyvat.

PERSONALITY
general personality: once a powerful yet caring angel, Seraphin never really cared to find a specific meaning in life; all he had known was to lead humans to knowledge and safety, and that’s what he did. Even so, after failing once and losing one child to the Abyss, he felt the need to further his doings and did everything in his powers for the next ones to come, the next humans he would help. But he never took a specific caring in anyone, no, he knew all too well what happened to those who did isolate someone specific and give them their all; they’d become a shell of their former self. So he kept to himself, although, he always enjoyed his time with those around him. He had particularly managed to get himself close to the Archons, especially Rex Lapis. They led a peaceful life, because that’s what he was: peaceful. However, years passed and you can’t really contain what’s nature speaking to you in careless whispers: eventually, he would become more vulnerable and fall for the Rex Lapis himself. After being sent to Teyvat to escape his fate, no memories and nothing at all to precede him, now was born Valentin. Initially a bit of a scaredy cat and keeping to himself, it didn’t take much for a new personality to rise out of him; this man was now bubbly, open, free. With his new job as a knight, and later on a mercenary, he found himself with new connections: he was social and fun to be around, that was clear. His fame precedes him: the fun and caring mercenary that protects whoever pays him enough coin. He lets out silly, witty remarks, and easily connects to people. Although he may seem childish, he knows what he’s doing and he’s doing his job well, that’s for sure. He got quite the determination for that.
habits: Enjoys mora for sure, and will be found flipping a coin or biting nervously on one. Actually, he himself doesn’t know why he’s so attracted to mora; but he just is! Who doesn’t love a shiny little coin from time to time! Especially if time to time means every few days.
extra info: Kids love him! He tells them silly, exaggerated stories about his travels and fights that it almost seems whimsical to the children.
background: We all know about Seelies, don’t we? Small creatures that travel on the land in search of resting, in search for somewhere to lay inside and stay there forever. Were you aware, once, these creatures could speak like you? Breathe like you? Live like you? That’s what an angel is. Angels were the ones who were supposed to love and take care of all humans, no distinctions needed; however, the second you give a beating heart to something, it goes crazy. Angels started to fall in love like crazy, disregarding their ideal of equal love. What could you do now? Well, Celestia punished these angels by turning them into Seelies, stripping them of anything they had.
Rex Lapis, also known as Morax, knew that story far too well. He had been living his life alongside an angel for many years by now, too. That’s when things started to falter. Seraphin would be very good at hiding his feeling, but it wasn’t the same lately. It didn’t take a well renowned scholar to catch the glimpse in the eyes of when he spoke to the Geo Archon; he could hear his heart beat from miles away, and his speech didn’t help him at all. But Morax was nothing but a wise man, and he knew damn well that the consequences could be brutal. He couldn’t handle the thought of his precious Seraphin being stripped away of everything he had. That would be a curse on such a kind soul. To this day, the renowned Zhongli still convinces himself that it has to be done; that he just HAD to force Seraphin into a contract. What contract exactly? Well, just one that would remove any memories of his life from his mind, severe any ties with those he once knew and, most gut wrenching of all, he would lose the ability to fall in love.
current life: he travels Teyvat easily thanks to his vision and his connections (especially thanks to Beidou) ; and can be found anywhere at the right moment. He’s still searching for something more, something that can satisfy him, but he’s really unable to.
SENSITIVE CONTENT AHEAD. (heavy drinking, hypersexuality)
Being unable to fall in love breaks you. Surely, hearing about it so much is enough, but when you can’t even reach for such feelings, it’s worse. Even worse, that’s when they celebrated his birthday, or well, the day he was found; it was also a day for couples to express their love to each other. He was so close to it, yet so far. This causes him to drown his sorrow in wine and alcohol, and his feelings in sex with strangers or anyone that offers him at the right moment. (Usually, when he’s at his worst and is plenty sad). This causes him not only to have an unhealthy relationship with love but also his body and sex, seeing it as purely an attraction that can distract him from his sadness, even if just for a little.
