Indeed, the Man existed before the experiments, possibly a result of Multiple Personality Disorder. The Man constantly makes an argument for Blindfold to give him control, constantly vying for the wheel.

The Ink : The Ink is a substance that can reproduce it's cells at amazing speeds, and also, somehow, change it's density at the same speed. The Ink emerged when the experiments were conducted, housing itself in his eyes.
The Ink Is merged with Blindfold's genetic signature, which means it can produce cells, at a significantly slower rate, but still amazingly fast, that are his cells, effectively healing him at amazing speeds.
The Ink also has an ability dubbed 'interfearance'. It is a specific type of luck manipulation, one that Blindfold cannot control - yet. It makes plans go awry, and technology malfunction in a radius of his person. The Man has complete control of this, and it gets a significant power boost by being in 'control'. Because of this, Blindfold cannot use most simple utilitarian technology, e.g., a gun, and his...
condition cannot be treated with most technologically advanced methods.
Second Sight: Through the Ink, Blindfold can see the world, albeit in a strange way - he sees the world as fact - rather than visual input. This is understandably overwhelming for him, so he wears a blindfold to somewhat reduce the effects.
Weaknesses:
The Man: The Man will speak to Blindfold and have regular conversations with him, ultimately trying to convince him of something he wants him to do. The Man can choose to take complete control over the Ink and Blindfold's sight, as well as Blindfold's body, if Blindfold lets go of his emotions. The Man has a better understanding of Blindfold's powers and abilities - and how to use them, so sometimes, if Blindfold is pushed to the very edge of what he himself can do, Blindfold has expressed the idea that the Man taking control might not be an altogether bad thing...
The Man, according to our research, is a completely separate entity than Blindfold, like a second mind, connected to the first. This would make him about three times as resistant to psychic attack, and also lead to some mental implications and side effects that we are not yet aware of.
