What is it like being immortal? Watching time pass by like the wind, watching civilizations turning to dust, seeing living breathing people turning into skeletons, watching the world burn only to regrow from the ashes. Being the only creature to witness the continuous raise and fall of kingdoms and nations. It would drive many people mad. For one immortal, it truly had driven her mad. Her name was Adria, she had been alive so long she had forgotten how she came into existence. Her grasp on the flow of time was weak, and she mindlessly watched the centuries pass, unable to die and unsure how to live, until one day, when her destiny found her. Her destiny came in the form of a woman with stunning blue eyes, and an air of warmth about her. At first Adria thought she was a goddess of sorts, but she soon learned the woman was mortal. She was a woman of royal blood, and Adria was enchanted. For years she took the position of Royal Guard, the first woman to do so, and earned a reputation as a fearsome warrior. As an immortal she could be impaled by any weapon and survive. She became legend. Her passion was not for fighting though, it was for the woman she served. Time passed and the woman ultimately died young, married to a King Adria did not see as worthy. Maybe what she felt for the woman was love, but in that time love between women was unheard of. Soon after, Adria discovered she wasn't the only immortal in the world, she met others. They formed a clan and among them she was one of the oldest, and strongest. The other was Armand, and he was their leader. She had no desire to stay with them though. She cut ties and estranged herself after only a couple years, detesting their rigid lifestyle, their laws, and their beliefs. It was practically a cult and she wanted no part in it, even if they were her kin.
Hundreds of years have passed, Adria has lived hundreds of lives, but in modern day she has to keep a lower profile, not wanting her immortality to be discovered. A lower profile doesn't necessarily mean a boring life though. Adria lived as a nomad most of her life, wandering from place to place, and that hasn't changed. She lives in a small beach house, surfing during the day and drinking with friends at night. She's a regular everyday beach bum hippie that just rolls with the punches, seemingly carefree. She used to be a solider, but she abandoned that lifestyle long ago to be free, and now she lives like a free spirit, drifting along with time. She's a proud lesbian, now that theres a title for it. She decided long ago that she wouldn't fall for a mortal again, she wouldn't go through centuries of heart ache like she did in the past. But what will happen when a mortal girl literally falls into her arms, with those same pretty blue eyes and that familiar aura? The same warm touch that sends Adria's mind spiralling back hundreds of years. But she doesn't have time to reminisce, the girl is being chased. Maybe destiny wasn't quite done with her...

Me as a writer
- I write in third-person, past tense, and in multiple paragraphs
- I don't have a preference for frequency of replies. I'm busy, you're busy, let's just write when we have time and not feel pressured. I'm usually on every couple days though
- Long post lengths, anywhere from 2-10+ depending on the story and the scene
- Heavy details, I'm a real sucker for details.
- I'm fine starting us off if you don't disappear on me, I put a ton of effort into my intros and their size can be intimidating(Or so I've been told) so just talk to me
- Literate and puts effort/pride into my writing.
- My stories are plot driven, not sex driven. Sexual themes are definitely great and will be in the story, but it wont dominate the story.
- Okay with 18+ themes such as sex, drugs, alcohol, violence, blood, swearing, ect... I don't fade to black in sex scenes, nuh-uh honey, I like those nitty gritty details that I can really sink my teeth into.
A grey rainy day had turned into an equally as dreary, rainy night. The city was darker than usual thanks to rain clouds and the dim street lights did little to help. It seemed the farther south one got the darker the streets became. Hazel eyes stared out the window of a black Cadillac SUV, the dull hum of the engine barely resonating in her ears. Her eyes were focused on the small slivers of moon she could spot through the clouds above. It would be a new moon soon and to her kind the darkest night was always loathed. To them, the moon was the mother energy, the source of their powers. Under the moon she felt empowered, unstoppable, but on nights when its gentle light wasn't visible she felt uneasy, irritable... kind of pissed off. This new moon would be particularly hard, she already knew. For weeks she had been having premonitions, a figure of a man holding a familiar weapon in his hand, flashes of blood and fire... the shape of the darkened moon high in the sky... a Hunter was coming, and she knew there was no way to prevent it. She wasn't sure when he would arrive, all she knew was that it was sometime near the new moon when her powers were at their weakest. In her lap she tensed and relaxed her hand, forming a fist before releasing it, over and over. She could already feel the difference, the smooth flow of power under her skin, it was starting to weaken. She was never weak, but without the moon she was no where near as powerful as she could be. Of course a hunter would come for her when her powers were weakened, they were usually tricky bastards. She had survived a number of attempts on her life, but something about this encounter felt different...
"-so we need... Hey, Akila, Hello?" A voice slowly came into focus and she turned her head, looking to the man sitting to her side in the back of the large vehicle. He was a large man, both in height and muscle mass. His voice was deep with a gruffness to it. "Did you hear anything I said?" He wore a black suit, a handgun strapped to his hip. Akila placed her elbow on the ledge of the door, resting her chin on the back of her hand as she gazed sideways at him. "Do you want me to answer honestly?" She asked as a smile pulled across her red stained lips. His name was Jackson, he was muscle for the Vercera Family, a high ranking gun that was assigned to be her guard when she was sent out to do jobs. He doubled as a 'handler' of sorts. She wasn't an easy person to work with, her personality took a certain level of patience and humour to deal with. "Work with me here" He answered as a smile appeared on his own lips. "This is an important job, if this gets screwed up we-" "We're fucked?" She finished his sentence, an amused expression still on her face. "No, I'm fucked, you'll be fine". That was true, she got away with a lot but she was also valuable, and she always did a good job. They were being driven down to the docks on the south end of the city, apparently they'd gotten their hands on an informant for an enemy group and they were trying to get information out of him. They'd been trying for days with no luck, so they called her in. "Relax, when do I ever let you down?" She mused before returning her gaze to the window. Two men sat in the front seats while two more men sat in the seats behind them, all armed with handguns and rifles. She could protect herself, but the 'boss' demanded she be escorted. In the Family she ranked high up, and appearances were everything. If she walked around without guards it would look bad, god forbid anyone look down on the Vercera.
They arrived at the docks and the car came to a stop just outside a large warehouse. The docks were owned and run by the Vercera and were often used for dirty jobs like interrogations. With the ocean right there it was an easy dumping ground for bodies. As the car stopped she waited, Jackson and the other men climbing out. It was an easy job, almost boringly so, but it was work. Her door was open and she stepped out, Jackson waiting for her with an umbrella. She wore black heels with bright red bottoms that matched her lips. The black dress she wore reached her mid thigh, hugging her body perfectly, though the top was covered by a leather jacket that cut off at her waist. Her long curly hair was tied back, pinned into a neat bun. The door was closed and she began to walk, Jackson at her side keeping her stride, holding the umbrella over her. The rest of the men fallowed to the sides and behind as she led the way to the warehouse door where another guard was waiting. Akila didn't acknowledge him or speak as they entered, there was no reason to. She was there to get a job done that they couldn't manage on their own. Jackson closed the umbrella but stayed by her side, slightly behind her as she moved. The warehouse was filled with shipping containers and boxes, but there was a clear path through all the cargo and she fallowed it until she got to her goal. She rounded a corner to an opening in the cargo boxes where a metal construction light had been set up, blasting light onto the scene. In the middle of the opening was a metal chair, and on that chair sat a bloody mess of a man. He was slumped over, he looked unconscious. Blood had pooled under the chair, some bloody buckets sat nearby along with a table that housed a number of interesting tools used for torture. A few men were loitering nearby, either guards of interrogators, she didn't care which. "He hasn't said a word for two days, what's bringing her here going to do for anything?" One of them spoke but she didn't pay him any mind as Jackson shot him a look, silencing him quickly. "Tsk, No wonder you can't get anything out of him, he's practically dead" She sighed, stepping forward. Jackson moved to fallow but a wave of her hand stopped him.
Without a second thought she walked through the bloody mess and approached the man. There was no hesitation in her movements as she reached out, slipping her hand under his chin. She lifted his head so she could look at him. His face was a mess of bruises and blood, his nose looked broken and judging by the blood coming from his mouth... they'd taken some teeth. His eyes were swollen and bruised but his drowsy gaze met hers. "You're a tough nut to crack, hm?" She mused. "Good for you, you're not a weak man like the idiots interrogating you" Her eyes moved over his face before settling on his eyes once more. He almost looked confused and his eyes were questioning why she was there, but he didn't speak. "You've been through a lot, you've worked hard, it's time for you to take a break and relax" Akila leaned down, bending at her hips to bring their faces close together. His eyes were fixed on hers. She brought her face closer, almost close enough for them to touch, but she stopped short. "You have a lot to get off your chest, don't you? Theres so much you want to tell me" Her voice was beginning to change, sounding almost hypnotic as her hazel eyes began to brighten. "You wouldn't keep secrets form me, would you?" His eyes had widened and his cracked lips parted. "N-No, I wouldn't" He almost choked out, speaking for the first time since being captured. A smile pulled across her painted lips. "Of course you wouldn't." She pulled back, releasing his chin as she stood up straight once more. The man's eyes were still fixed on her, lost in a trance as Jackson came to her side, holding out a rag to her. Akila took it without looking away from the man, wiping the blood off her fingers from touching him. "You need to tell the truth for me, will you do that" "I will" His answer was immediate "Good" She answered before turning away, handing the now bloody rag back to Jackson. "He's all yours" She spoke to the interrogators without looking to them, but they were both looking at her with a mix of shock and confusion on their faces. "You heard her, get your asses in gear and do your fucking jobs!" Jackson snapped at the men as Akila made her way back out the way they came in. His sharp voice snapped them out of it and they ripped their eyes from the woman. Charming spells were one of the more common ones she needed to use in her position, they were useful, and easy, but they didn't last forever. The affects lasted a day at most, it depended on the person's willpower, so taking advantage of their affects was important.
Jackson was quick to fallow Akila, looming behind her like the intimidating shadow he was meant to be to 'protect' her. "Was that all?" She asked as they neared the exit. "For tonight, yeah-" She knew his next words, it was the same question he asked every night once work was done. "-Do you need a ride home?" She smiled, looking over her shoulder at him. "Are you always going to ask me that?" He shrugged "A man can try" He answered with a deep chuckle. "You can keep trying" She answered with a faint laugh, slipping a hand into her jacket pocket. Her hand wrapped around a jewel, a smooth, round, black jewel that she began to trace her thumb over in small circles. "Maybe one day I'll let you take me home" She mused as she continued to walk towards the exit. Black smoke began to raise from under her feet "Then, I'll keep trying" He offered with a grin as the smoke rose up, engulfing her figure. It swallowed her shape before dispersing, and she was gone. "That still freaks me out" One of the other armed guards spoke. Jackson chuckled and shrugged. "Come on, lets get going" He moved forward, leading the way back out to the car.

A blaring beeping noise echoed through the room "For fuck's sake" Akila stood on one of the nearby stools, red bottomed heels abandoned on the floor as she waved a notebook above her head at the annoying white box attached to her ceiling. A fucking fire alarm. This always happened when she used the teleport rune, she needed to move the stupid thing but it was etched into the wooden floor. She wasn't thinking when she made it and now this was becoming a nightly ritual. As the beeping stopped she sighed, lowering her arms as she stepped down from the stool, careful not to disturb the placement of the rune. It was etched into the floor but around it were carefully placed salts, herbs, and candles. She stepped around the candles and sighed, kneeling down to blow them out. It was nearly one in the morning and she wanted nothing more than to climb into bed. Sure, it was a short and easy job but her boss insisted she come to the headquarters to speak to him before every job, and then she had to be driven to wherever the job was. It was an entire process that wasted her time, but she couldn't argue. She was paid well for her time, even if it was wasted.
Akila stood up straight, deciding she'd tidy up tomorrow. She left the stool and heels where they were and began to move through the old house. She inhabited an old victorian style house far from the city, deep in the forest, one she only ever teleported to so she would never be fallowed. It was two stories, on the first was her study which was where she made potions, dried herbs, enchanted jewels and did basically everything. There was the kitchen and a living room, upstairs was two bed rooms and a bathroom. Sure, her study was where most of her witchy things were, but all around the house she had things. All rooms had bundles of herbs hanging in the windows along with jewels and geodes. She had several overflowing bookshelves throughout the house and all around books sat open to different pages. Outside the grass was overgrown, herbs grew wildly about her property along with different fruits and vegetables. Everything about her home screamed -witch in the forest- and she felt most at home there. She had another home in the city, a regular apartment that she used as 'Alison'. She would use a different rune to travel there to go to school to act mortal. Akila pulled her hair free from its bun, yawning as she climbed the creaky wooden stairs. Her long hair fell over her shoulders as she reached the top. She didn't even begin undressing, instead she walked into her room and let her body just fall back into the large bed, sinking into the blanket. The sound of rain tapping against the windows was soothing, she could feel herself beginning to doze off. She felt perfectly safe, that place was her own sanctuary and she had runes and protective barriers in place to keep it that way... But she'd been busy for a while, she hadn't refreshed her runes in a while and the rain was disturbing their careful placement. Her invisible walls were weakening, along with her powers as the moonlight dulled behind the dark clouds.
