Welcome the world of Valiant Desire, a world much like ours, except the concept of Knights and Squires is still widely practiced.

The Knights, or the equilavent of Knights depending on what Nation you're in, is a group of military and elite law enforcement officers, much like SWAT or the FBI, called upon when crimes can't be handled by the local police department. As they are the next line of defense most major cities have a branch of Knights, though the Headquarters of every nation;s Knights are in one city - usually the nation's capital.

Like Knights from medieval times, the Knights ot today use armor and medieval weaponry, but are available to materials that would be avialble today if it was still a practiced concept. As such, along with swords and other weapons, Knights are also taught how to handle guns and other modern weaponry.

Knights are still allowed to take a squire under thier wing if they want one, but squires have to be at least 18 years of age, most of them choosing to follow the path after graduating from High School, though it isn't uncommon for them ro pursue the path later on in life.
