Hey there, I'm Crow (they/them) and I'm a massive fan of exploring a space and an idea until there just isn't any room left to explore. I love the greys of a situation, the reasons, and the context. I'm a massive content lover and I'm known to reward favorites with art of their characters or a 15000-word paragraph at 3 AM. I've been rping basically since I had access to the internet (10 years and going) so I know how to keep a thread moving even if we get a touch bogged down by period-accurate recipe ingredients. I'm sensitive and knowledgeable about most minorities (LGBT+, BIPOC, disability, neurodivergency) although if I mess up, feel free to put me in my place - I'm still unlearning like 20 years of manipulation and abuse! (And that is not an excuse - it's an acknowledgment of reality uPu)

Speaking of which, trigger warnings for non-graphic mentions of rape, sexual assault, assault & abuse

My pronouns are they/them and I am 21. I'm disabled, neurodivergent, white, AFAB & engaged to a lovely partner. Crow is not my legal name, but it is my preferred online name. I have rp'ed since I was 11 years old, and I have experience with working in groups and alone on a variety of rp projects. I also play Freeform Universal, Kingdoms, Microscope, & Mythic.

I tend to prefer large, expansive, colorful stories with lots of diversity and inclusivity. I mostly write stream of mind style with some heavily edited prose if it suits the situation. I don't mind playing sex scenes, but I prefer story-driven rps with a sprinkling of sex or heavy fade to black. I'm mostly into rps for expansive world-building, character explorations, and a touch of cathartic hurt/comfort.

My paragraph sizes tend to be decent, although I don't believe in completely unnecessary prose with no action or dialogue to break it up. It's important to me to find a good rhythm, and I might shift a bit as we go. My job offers a lot of time and freedom to post, so I anticipate no long unplanned hiatuses.

I do have a strong background in creative writing and poetry, and I dabble in graphic arts and character design. I also love to use tarot cards in my stories as a way to "pull a random plot point" or to find inspiration/make a character. (I also have a tarot reading business and love to do art commissions in my spare time.)
Ok, this one is tricky because it tends to change from time to time. As a survivor of abuse and sexual assault, I sometimes cope by replaying/revisiting/reenacting the event in order to understand and deal with it. So rape and sexual assault are not entirely off the table, but I usually need some form of a recovery period for the character afterward, and I might need to abandon/fade to black the rest of it if I'm having an off day. If I tell you it's a no, it's a no, and we might need to restructure the plot slightly or brush over more serious issues.

Sex scenes with no dialogue or characterization is tedious and boring. There, I said it.

I don't like to play worlds with heavy themes of homophobia, racism, or sexism unless it is respectfully portrayed. If you're nervous about going to far, talk to me and we can find a way to make something else work.

Dark and gritty are always fun, but edge can get boring after long periods with no break, so I never like to have my whole rp be totally sad and tedious. Be prepared for me to throw out an unexpected plot point if things get stale.

Religion is uhhh an overly complicated issue for me. I was raised roman catholic and as you can imagine, my gay little brain did not do well there. It's really not that deep, I'd just prefer to avoid solely religiously focused rps, unless the religion is completely made up or subversed.
Where to even start? I pretty much like just about everything. I'm of the opinion that If it's good, it's good. Period accurate Victorian romance? Hell yeah. Aliens invading the planet of the goths? Sign me up. Interdimensional meta-commentary on pop culture and fandom from the viewpoint of a shapeshifting cat/human with a propensity for time travel? RAD! I've dipped a toe in loads of fandoms, but I prefer original content. (heavily inspired or AU is still exquisite.)

I like diversity and inclusivity and intelligence and endurance. I like going through hell and still finding a way to smile. I like throwing plot points in a blender and seeing how it tastes. (Salty, with a hint of lime jellybeans) I like a little bit of chaos but a lot of super consistent character building. I'm a huge fan of pain for recovery's sake and hurt/comfort content, and I'm not above torture, abuse, and manipulation as a way to break and strip a character down. I like to push all the buttons, to see how far you can stretch someone, how badly they'll snap, and more importantly - how they can keep going after.

I have a running excel spreadsheet with ideas that make me go owo but I'm not precious about my plots and characters. If I really don't like where something is going I'll let you know.

Worldbuilding is absolutely going to happen with me no matter what. I've tried suppressing it, but it doesn't go down easy. When I get excited about an idea I tend to get 15-45 ideas to jump off of it and it can take a little reminding to ensure I stay on the straight and narrow. Still, if you like a crooked path I'd love to walk it with you.

This post is still a work in progress, if you're curious about my characters, worlds, or plot ideas, just message me!
