Hi! I'm Yugaohana (please call me any variation of the name) and I'm a 21 year old female literate to novella writer but I'll always mirror my partner for their comfortability unless I get really into the scene (if I get into the scene, forgive me if I go overboard). I live in the AEST timezone so most of the time, my timezone may be a little whack compared to others. That being said, I tend to be on a lot so please feel free to message about this without asking! Please give me at least some substance to work with for this plot though if you choose to try and pick it up! I adore it and am a little too passionate about it.

As long as it stays over here, I'm still open and looking for the plot!

This is a plot that I'd made ages ago and unfortunately got no further than the first arc or first three messages. I'm mostly looking to restart it and hopefully keep it going until the end. It can lean to a more smut filled type of scenario due to the nature of scene as a whole or it can lean towards the plot side. Listed under the plot tab is was a potential underlying plot for my character's background - and some things that my previous partners came up with for their characters. No need to follow them though, they're really just ideas if you can't think of any yourself - though I'd love to hear your own take on the general's motivations.

— Editing 16/01 with extra notes for background - all of which does not have to be used but can totally be brain food!

My replies are usually sporadic but I tend to try and at least get one or more during the week unless I get swamped with work then I'll let my partners know!

I now have an expanded version of the starter:

^ If said previous partner would like to pick it up again, feel free to send me a message! This is still open to anyone else though!

Note: The original plot is poly but it can be adjusted to be monogamous. I can do a group RP with this one too if anyone was interested.

Under the smut tab are a range of potential themes and kinks - all of which are simply possibilities. Another spoiler tab in the smut tab are, however, the extreme themes that come with this scenario so if that makes you squeamish, don't click on it!

Plot Hook
The universe is larger than anyone can fathom. Within it are numerous worlds that have their own story and challenges that intersect with one another. One thing, however, is common… Love can be one's greatest gift yet can drive others to large extremes.

In one of those few worlds, war is rampant between the two major races, humanity, and the Caelestes, colloquially known as Outliers. Caelestes have little difference to their human counterparts with similar appearances if one would exclude their sharper fangs, athletic physiques and the supernatural ability to use magic. These two races keep to their own separate territories, Syth, the only human kingdom, and Thia, the Land of the Caeleste. The Caeleste despise humanity and vice versa, a never ending cycle. No villages were spared neither were innocent citizens who were happy to coexist with one another. Violence became prevalent and soon, races were stigmatised against each other.

One of the battles between humans and caelestes led to the defeat of the human battalion by the infamous war general and his lieutenant, taking majority of them as prisoners of war. Yet the general takes interest in the combat medic who was more than she appeared to be. It was only natural that he would take every piece of information she had to offer with his lieutenant by his side, helping him with his own way of making her talk... willingly or not)

Plot Bunnies
  • Now you might ask - what are Caelestes?
    • The answer to that is, I mentally imagined them to be similar to fae when I had created the race for my assignment (for one of my main characters was from it) - There are no specific details as to what they are except for the fact that they live for a very long time, are weak to iron, and have natural magic (like fae). Everything is up to my partner's discretion as for how they'd want to play it.
  • My character is a human who is currently apart of the rebellion that was forming as an uprising within the Kingdom of Syth. She was sent on this mission as a suicide mission due to the threat she poses towards the Kingdom. This is more of a background plot device that really comes into play ages after whatever sort of relationship is established between herself and the general. Quercus does not know any information that she considers to be useful to the Caelestes - but information on the rebellion is highly valued since it means that the Kingdom of Syth would be weakened by dealing with that and the ongoing war.
  • This is somewhat of a slow-burn with feelings, but not actions → which will depend on what my partner prefers.
  • Originally I imagined it to be a more unconventional enemies to lovers → of course, this would only really apply if you're comfy with those extreme themes. Otherwise, it's probably just going to be an enemies to lovers type of plot.
  • I'm trying to have enough of a push and pull but not too much where the story stagnates. Find a balance!
  • Dark Romance! Or rather, I'm looking for some form of it leaning towards either the darker side or lighter side depending on my partner.
  • Understand that this can also be just an F x M plot if you're not comfy with poly.
  • I kind of do want to let Quercus return to the Kingdom to deal with the whole rebellion type of arc but that would be for a completely different scene of which case, this one would have to be finished first before doing any of that.
  • The war starts because humans broke the treaty held between the Caelestes and humanity by trying to invade and take more land that doesn't belong to them. Villages near the border are destroyed and that's the catalyst that begins the war in the first place.
  • Truthfully, the Caelestes were never prepared for a war; they were a peaceful lot that when it started, there were far more casualties on the side of the caelestes despite their enhanced abilities compared to humans. This would likely be a case of intention vs peace
  • Technically caelestes were more experienced than humanity in the ways of war but they've been at peace for generations after the signing of the treaty, why would they need to think about going out to fight?
  • As the war goes on for a few years, there is dissent amongst both sides of the war for different reasons.
    • There are some Caelestes who think that the approach of the Caeleste monarch is too soft; they should not merely be defending their home but they should take back what is owed - invade Syth as well
    • On the other hand, Caelestes who have grown used to the peace want to fight to protect their home, to show that they're not weak enough to be invaded but they're not going to fall to the same level as humans who took part of their land first
      • The war general and Lieutenant technically can fall under any of the two above categories in terms of beliefs - but even if they do fall under the first category, they wouldn't try to harm the Caeleste monarch because they have shared history as childhood friends.
    • Back in Kingdom (Syth at the top of my head), there is a slowly brewing civil war underneath the surface. It's not obvious considering no one wants to be executed but it's there. A revolution is slowly brewing right now.
    • Members of the revolution who are caught used to be executed publicly but are now sent on suicide missions to Caeleste territory, expected to never return. If they manage to escape and return to the Kingdom, they would have to lay low and in hiding until the monarchy there is overthrown.
    • CA is a member of the revolution and had been caught with one of the other members of which she takes the fall - because the other member was much more vital to the revolution and was sent to the frontlines with a suicide squad expected to engage in battle and perish there.
  • Truthfully, said squad actually had been set up to die because if they didn't get ambushed then they would've died in other ways.
  • The squad was not supposed to be so near the war general's troops though, especially when they were camping. It was lucky that a scout had spotted the suicide squad for the ambush to be set up in the first place.
    • That means there's a mole in the Caelestes but they don't know who - the war general would have suspected it since this wouldn't be the first time they had experienced a similar event.
    • It's likely the dissent amongst caelestes has been getting worse back in Thia and the chances of there being some form of treason is relatively high, it's just a matter of who's the cause of it in the first place.
  • CA was recognised as member of protests in the Kingdom by the war general who keeps up with the news - because a well informed caeleste means there might finally be a way to end the war.
  • Most of the nobles since the start of war have expressed their desire to take revenge at Syth for starting the war in the first place.
  • Motivations for that could potentially be greed for more, loss of family members or loss of homes? Or it could be all of the above, not sure. But there are some nobles who are planning treason and it's up to the war general to figure out who's behind rallying them to do so in the first place.
  • Only natural that keeping CA alive will help him find the culprits, all that needs to be done is to use her as bait! It was imperative to protect the caeleste monarch from any danger of treason (which really could be a whole lot)
  • It'd be nice to have them understand each other (as in, culture and motivations) slowly in time considering they're going to be working together for the unforeseeable future.

Living. The word itself can invoke a lot of different types of feelings for a person. Any sentient being is alive, none of them are dead. Yet the closest someone... anyone could really feel that, is when they are empty, void of emotions and memories that make them the people that they are. They're everything to a sentient being and having them taken away creates an empty person with no spark, no feeling, no life.

Everyone fears such, don't they? Yet that was uniquely not the case for Quercus, the woman of many masks. Her life has been filled with so many things, events that shifted and changed her to become the person she is today. Those memories that created her, sometimes she'll admit that she would much prefer it if they didn't exist in her life yet at the same time, she's made her peace with and without them. Cruelty is prevalent in the Kingdom yet war she absolutely despises above all else. If there is one wish she desires to have fulfilled, it would be to end the war between the Caelestes and humanity. The only way that can ever happen is if they have a complete upheaval of the human Kingdom of Syth.

Deep down she knows though, and everyone in her battalion is fully aware of this as well, but they were on a suicidal mission to defend the border. Many of them wouldn't survive or if they did, they would likely be captured by the Caelestes if they fail to succeed. It was the Kingdom's way of getting rid of soldiers who know too much if they are beneficial for the war. By getting rid of those with information after ensuring their tongues are sealed from speaking on the secrets that they discovered. She, above all, knew too much for the nation's comfort and it was only natural that she would be placed here with others who knew thingsthat should never be spoken of.

They're out there in the border, hidden in the trees as the troops of Caelestes pass by. Her eyes train on the tall man, short black hair with an intimidating look in his eyes. He was their target but... he also looked remarkably familiar. A sharp gasp to her right gives them away and she hisses softly with a frown. Scrambling up the tree branch to hide in the leaves, their position was already alerted and she needs the time to piece together what in the world her colleague had figured out.

Hand signals! Quercus' jaw drops as she reads the signs, War General ----- and Lieutenant -------.

Everyone has heard of their names back in the human kingdom, whispers of their triumphs and survivals turn into numerous different rumours back in Syth. She's heard many things and quite frankly, it was difficult to comprehend that their assassination target is the infamous general! He's ruthless, they rally are on a suicidal mission. Her eyes glance over at the lieutenant behind him and she swallows. It is said that he is kind yet many say it's just a mask for his true feelings underneath.

"Damn it," The mage curses to herself only to yelp when her people were pulled out of the trees, pushed to her knees. The shock of the sudden attack left her little to no time in formulating a plan so there wasn't much that she could do in a situation like this, "Let go!"

She does her best to push herself off the ground, eyes glaring up at the Caelestes who surrounded her troop, making them all remain kneeling. In the distance, she can see the rest of her colleagues, those who weren't hiding in the trees, incapacitated (most likely dead.) Her heart races in her chest as she mourns them to herself but there was no time, the situation is dire.

"What do you want?" Quercus demands from the general and his lieutenant in front of her, "With us? You're better off killing us all."

Thank you for your time!
