Is It The Darkness Thou Wish To Tread?
|Regulations and Fore Warnings|- This role play is not for the faint of heart. If you're considering a story line involving romance and cute, furry things, you should turn back. Now.
- Do not badger me about replies. We are all adults here, therefore, we all have adult things to take care of. I get busy just as anyone else does from time to time. Other times I just don't feel like replying. Be patient with me and I will be patient with you.
- I prefer quality over quantity. By allowing my role play partners leniency, it helps words flow freely from their minds opposed to someone who feels under pressure. I do not require novella posts 24/7. In fact, I do not require novella posts at all. Para posts and up are what I prefer.
- I cannot stress this enough, but take your time when replying to me. If you are overwhelmed with other things, put my reply off for another time or day. I tend to lose interest rather quickly if I feel posts have been rushed. It takes away from the writing quality.

|Cassandra|"Make them stop, mommy... N-No! Mommy, don't let them take me!"
As a child, Cassandra could never fathom the meaning of dread. That was until the hour of her disappearance had come to pass. Consequently, everything changed, including the world the human race had come to know.
From the moment Cassandra had been born, her mother had affirmed there was something... divergent about her child. By the time she was three months old, Cassandra often had trouble awakening from her sleep. As a result, her mother summoned several Physicians to aid her child, however, to no avail.
Reaching the age of two, it was apparent Cassandra possessed the power of telepathy, thus giving her mother incentive to avoid the common folk. This was for the simple fact that she did not want her, nor her daughter, accused of witchery. Additionally, Cassandra's mind harbored vivid dreams each time she had slipped into unconsciousness. Her mother would often find her child "speaking with herself". While her mother thought Cassandra had simply come across a phase, there was much more to be revealed.
Accompanied by the type of mind power Cassandra possessed, her dreams became bona fide. Objects would appear and, at first, these objects were unpretentious and inadequate; such as utensils and small decorations. However, when said objects appeared, they were less than ordinary. Willing something into existence from the images in her mind or dreams, it would appear into the world as something twisted and decayed; not fully formed or functional.
At the age of eight, information had been received through word of mouth about Cassandra's abilities. As a result, she was stripped from her mother by the King's men to be scrutinized by surgeons. For years, they kept Cassandra contained, torturing her in hopes to trigger certain reactions.
"The ax may forget, yet the tree will always remember."
At the age of twenty-three, Cassandra had fallen into a deep coma as a result of the torment, poking and prodding. From that point on, hell broke free from its gates.
Due to the enduring trauma, those images remained attached to Cassandra, corrupting her nightmares. Demented monstrosities were created within her mind, thus pouring into the world, infecting and devouring anything they happened upon. These monsters had proven truly terrifying, twisted, backward, and overall, petrifying.|The Infected|
