Dorian grew up in Heidelberg, Germany, the son of wealthy merchants. Heidelberg, with its ancient university and romantic castle ruins overlooking the Neckar River, exudes a sense of timeless elegance and intellectualism that profoundly influenced Dorian during his youth. Dorian spent his formative years amidst the scholars and nobles of Heidelberg, acquiring his refined tastes and knowledge of the arts. When of age he was sent by his father to Humboldt university in Berlin to study law, and where he set up his successful law practice. Although now living in a world of logical debate Dorian never gave up his love for love of the arts.
