Hello, my name is Vampiress! While I am female, I prefer to write male characters. With that being said, I am looking to write against a female character. Mostly, I write with other partners who are also women, as I just find this to be more comfortable. This isn't to offend anyone, and that doesn't mean that I will not write with a partner who is male. I have, quite honestly, not had many positive experiences in this aspect. Still, I have had a few male partners who were wonderful, which is why I will, selectively, write with a male partner.
I have been writing for just shy of 18-years now, with a few breaks along the way! I consider myself to be a literate writer, capable of writing posts that range from 500 to 2,000 words. While I do not expect my partner to write thousands of words per post, I am looking for somebody literate, that can produce a few paragraphs and help keep the story going! 3rd person writing only, past or present tense is fine!
Additionally, I am around quite often. I can (usually) post a response daily to every-other day. If my schedule for school is light, then I may be able to reply more than once a day. However, on the opposite end of that, I am a student getting my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and my schedule does sometimes get bogged down. If that happens, posts may be less regular (once per week). I will communicate with my partner if that is the case, so that I am able to give a warning and not blindside my partner!
I enjoy writing and chatting OOC, and I am always down for making new friends. Plotting and communication about the story in OOC chat is essential for me, as I feel this helps keep the story going at a good pace, sticking mostly to the plot, and just helps the story feel more natural!
Currently, I have developed a new character (posted below), and I am looking to develop a story for him. I have a couple of loose plot ideas, with the first plot being preferred. However, I am open to ideas and brainstorming something together, too! So, don't be shy if you have any ideas you want to run by me or are interested in :)
With this character, I anticipate a good deal of violence (torture, death, pain, suffering, psychological elements, etc.). This may be heavier at the beginning of the story, and decrease over time. Ideally, MC and YC's relationship will start off rather rocky. MC is evil, hates the human world, and wants to watch it all burn down around him. Hurting others, convincing them to do unspeakable acts, is his purpose now. He has no memory of being a "good guy." However, that does not mean that he can't be good again, regain some memories during the story, and evolve for YC.
Romance is a must for all of my stories, as this always adds a nice element. That being said, I want the plot to be the focus, and not the smut. I do not mind writing smut, and I have very few limits (please run major things by me, just to be safe.) I can do 80/20 plot to smut ratio, all the way to 60/40. Again, I want the story to be able the story and moving the plot along.
Please, if you are interested in partnering with me for this story/character, reach out to me via messages. Kindly do not reply to the thread :) Feel free to include any details about yourself you would like, such as: writing style, length, post frequency, why you think we might be good partners, and any ideas you might have! Below is Gideon, a Jinn. Enjoy!
Gideon Reid
Name: Gideon Reid
Species: Jinn
Sub-type: Started out a Benevolent Jinn; after injury and memory loss, plus being in captivity, he is now a Shaitan Jinn or "disbelieving Jinn."
Elemental Alignment: Fire
Age: 1,024 years – Jinn are not truly "immortal" beings. They can be killed, and they do have "lifespans," though they can live for thousands of years, aging very slowly.
Year of Birth: 1501
Abilities:
Background/World Information: Jinn are dying species in the world of supernatural and spiritual beings. They had been hunted, with those after them seeking to control their power. Humans can be vile creatures when it comes to gaining power and wealth. Attempts to force Jinn into making wishes were made countless times, some Jinn would submit to the torture they endured, while others would never fold. Those who refused, died. Those who did not grant the wishes exactly as they were told, trying to trick the humans still, died. This "war" on the Jinn species had started millennia ago, long before humans had advanced in knowledge, technology, and weaponry. At first, the Jinn were capable of fighting back, and the benevolent Jinn who had been granting wishes before capture, did their best to try to keep the peace. They granted wishes more often, and of more extravagant demands. It was part of what had aided the human species in advancement.
These advancements only served to hurt the Jinn in the long run, and eventually, the benevolent Jinns stopped trying to keep the peace. These Benevolent Jinn were the first to begin breaking and dying over wishes. As their numbers dwindled, those Jinn who were once kind and gentle in nature, began to turn their hearts cold and fill with anger. Benevolent Jinn became Shaitan, wicked in nature and wanting nothing more than to spread hatred. If the humans would hurt them, they would do the same to the humans. It mattered not, in the end, as the Jinn were captured, slaughtered, and left on the brink of extinction. Those Jinn who remained knew to do so in the dark; to stay hidden and blend in with the human world around them. Out of the limited number of remaining Jinn, most of them were Shaitan, with only whispers of Benevolent Jinn still in existence– hiding in the deepest hole they could find.
Though most Jinn only believed this to be a rumor, it was not. One family still remained, and they had produced one child, who they would raise to be Benevolent, as they were. And this family would live, staying in hiding. Over the course of five hundred years, they would grant the rare wish to a human whose soul was deemed to be pure. This happened only a handful of times, maybe once every century. Unfortunately, after the last wish they had granted, this family was attacked– somebody had witnessed what they were capable of. They had been followed back to their home, which had been so carefully selected for the privacy it had offered, but it mattered not, now. The human intruders had hoped to take the family captive, force them to grant them power; to give them the world and control over it. However, despite being a family of Benevolent Jinn, a pact had been sworn– they would never allow the humans to take them captive and use their powers to harm the world. So, when the time came where it was to defend themselves or be used as weapons, they fought.
Both the mother and father were killed in the battle, sustaining wounds that even Jinns of their age could not recover from. The son– originally thought to be dead– had somehow managed to cling to life. Most would have been thankful to survive, but not this man. Now, he was captive. His captors treated his wounds (blunt force trauma) to the best of their abilities, which had been just enough to allow his supernatural healing to do the rest. Jinn may not have physically recovered as quickly as some supernatural beings, but it was still far beyond the rate at which a human would recover. When the Jinn woke, eyes flickering open to bright, white lights, he knew nothing of where he was. Or who he was. Or what. In fact, he couldn't remember a thing about the past five hundred years of his existence. What he did know, one might ask? He was full of rage.
Character Background: As the story above Gideon's parents were Benevolent Jinn, who had raised their own child to hold the same values and beliefs. Gideon had heard the stories of what Benevolent Jinn had done for humans, before the war for power had begun. There had been a time of peace; a time where humans and Jinn had befriended one another. The Jinn hadn't had to hide, and there were far more Benevolent Jinn than Shaitan– there was no true reason to want to bring discord to a time of peace and harmony. Gideon's parents were old, wise, and strong. Not just in their abilities, but in their faith that humanity might one day see the evil that had created, and change. They had seen peace and kindness flourishing, and they had watched it fall; they had no choice, but to believe that balance could be restored. This belief was something Gideon had taken to heart. He may not have lived through lifetimes of peace with humans, but he wanted to see it for himself. He wanted to know what it was like, and that was something he would fight for.
Or, those had been Gideon's plans. Then his parents were murdered by the very species they had so much faith in– that he had so much faith in. Gideon's life was nearly claimed in the fight, too. But again, as the story goes, the son survived. The next five hundred years of his life (five hundred and twenty four years, to be exact,) Gideon spent his life in captivity. It had started out that soldiers had taken him captive. They had lucked into an older building, with jail cells constructed during the 13th century. A century in which jail cells were typically made from iron bars. There weren't many things that could contain a Jinn, but iron just so happened to be one of those few things.
Time moved forward, Gideon's powers were tested; he was pushed to the edge of death and back again, as humans tried to manipulate him; tried to use his power for the very evil his parents had warned him about, though he had no memories of their warnings. Eventually, Gideon left the possession of the soldiers, being transferred to scientists, who had long since learned that iron was the thing they needed to keep him locked away. If the foundation had iron in it, Gideon couldn't leave the building. The solid iron walls of the floor of the building he was held in, made it so that he couldn't use his abilities on those outside of the floor. However, this didn't protect those inside the iron walls with him. Because of this, shifts inside the same floor as him were rotated often. Studies or research that took longer were conducted on a different floor. If any of the lab workers or scientists had to interact with him face-to-face, the time limited was no more than an hour. Those who had stayed longer, believing they would be safe, had been proven just how dangerous it was to stay in close proximity to Gideon.
Gideon is particularly skilled in the art of manipulation, having fully embraced the darkness associated with being a Shaitan Jinn. His influence over the human mind is strong, and those who had tried to stand against him, have ended up dead– one way or another. Be it suicide, convincing them to kill their comrades, or even provoke strangers on the street until they were beaten to death. If Gideon had the opportunity, he would influence several humans at once. Many violent acts had happened near him and in surrounding locations close to that of the lab he was held in. Things that people couldn't explain. Peaceful people, turned murderous; turned mad. Massacres, explosions, crashes, etc. All caused by one or more people– typically people that others would have never expected.
It had been years since anyone had slipped up and allowed him the ability to create such chaos and destruction.Gideon could feel his anger and rage growing, bubbling just beneath the surface, threatening to explode. He needed a release, something massive; something that would shake the human population to his core. Still, there was no way for him to accomplish such a task. Not stuck inside the lab– not trapped inside iron walls.
Note: Gideon has limited knowledge of what the world is like outside of the lab, having lost most of this with his head trauma. He simply images the entire human world to be cruel and deserving of punishment.
Plot Ideas: I haven't decided on a solid plot, so I am definitely open to ideas and creating something together. I imagined that maybe a new scientist or doctor is introduced to the lab, and just can't help herself? Curiosity, the cat, all that good stuff. YC wants to study him, to understand him beyond his power. MC hates all humans and wants to watch the world burn, having not even a trace of memory from his life before. He has no idea he used to be good.
Another potential idea is that the scientist captures another supernatural being of some sort, they work together to escape. MC uses YC as a means to an end, with his ultimate goal being to get out of the lab so that he can torment the human world, as they have tormented the Jinn.
Out of the two, I think the first idea may hold more water than the second, and make for a pretty interesting dynamic, overall.

Age: 1,024 years – Jinn are not truly "immortal" beings. They can be killed, and they do have "lifespans," though they can live for thousands of years, aging very slowly.
Year of Birth: 1501
Abilities:
- They are capable of whispering evil and wicked thoughts into the minds of humans. Through this, they can plant negative thoughts, cruel intentions, and deadly desires.
- Shaitan Jinn are capable of influencing humans, either individually or in groups, depending on the power of the Jinn (power increases with age.) This evil influence leads humans away from good and purity, and into sin.
- The temptation of the Shaitan Jinn is able to push humans into committing sinful and vile acts. It makes evil appealing– humans then believe that thoughts and acts that are sinful, violent, or cruel, appear as if they were of their own design. Humans are not aware when being influenced or manipulated by a Shaitan Jinn.
- They are capable of shape-shifting (typically into the appearance of a human).
- Dream Influencing– this allows for forms of torture, but also as another tool to sow evil into the hearts of unsuspecting humans.
- Speed/Teleportation
- Increased healing speed
- Control over Elemental Alignment– Fire
- Iron
- Silver– particularly more effective when dipped in lamb's blood. This causes the blood to act as a "poison" of sorts.
- Jinn are not invincible/immortal, any serious injury can kill a Jinn. Decapitation/severe head trauma, major full-body trauma, severe damage to internal organs (heart, especially), being torn apart, etc.
- Can be bound/trapped by powerful magic or structures founded on iron foundations.
- Wolves– are able to sense the uncanny nature of Jinn; are aware of their presence.
