Hello Sanctum Dwellers! It's time once again for our monthly writing challenge.
Thank you for all the prompts we have received in the suggestion thread. If you haven't posted any, please take a look! Expect to be seeing them appearing as either writing challenges or forum games in the months to come.
For this month though, we've decided that it's all about the dialogue. To facilitate this, this month's challenge will be:
Write one full scene in screenplay format.
The location, characters and everything along those lines is up to you. You can tell a full story or one snapshot of one.
Ideally, your formatting should be something like this:
Character A: Dialogue Dialogue Dialogue Dialogue.
Character B: Dialogue Dialogue Dialogue Dialogue.
Action by character B
Character A: Dialogue Dialogue Dialogue Dialogue.
Etc.
You can have one opening paragraph (ideally 100 words or less) to set the scene. You can also have occasional action statements like a screenplay would. The more basic these are, the more your dialogue will shine, so keep that in mind.
Please post all entries as threads in this forum.
