Warning. This thread is self-indulgent and risks being a little whiny in places. You've been warned.

So I've been craving a Legend of Zelda fandom RP lately...I've got a lot of ideas, both for canon and OC characters, and I'm always willing to negotiate on these plot ideas. Some things to know about me and my Zelda obsession...

• I mainly focus on OOT and TP, though I'm also willing to explore WW and I'd be thrilled at the opportunity to create a new point/setting in the Zelda timeline. I will require serious convincing to do an SS plot (much less plot wiggle room) and I will not do anything related to BOTW. Personal reasons...I own't bore you with them, unless you'd like me to, in which case PM me.
• I'm okay playing male or female characters, but I'm more inclined to play male. I'm also okay playing in any combination of OC and canon characters. I only do MxF relationships, though.
• Tingle, Linkle, Lana and Cia are not welcome here. *Picky eater noises*

So! If I haven't turned you off to RPing with me yet, here's a list of pairing ideas (If you don't see one but would like to bring it up, I would love to hear it!)

If I've italicized a part, it means I gravitate toward that part in a pairing, but I'm willing to play either; if I've italicized and bolded it, it means I'd really rather play that character in that pairing. If I haven't done either, I'm okay either way. If the ideas and their order seem scattered, please pardon my scattered brain and the fact that I'm writing these at one in the morning.

Spoiler: Plots

• The Hero Returns: Link returns to Hyrule after a self-imposed 7-year exile and meets Zelda again, only to find evil is brewing again.
  
• Gerudo Hospitality: Link collapses in the Gerudo Desert and comes to being tended by a Gerudo.
• Birth of a King: A young Ganondorf struggles to live up to the expectations of the Gerudo. The woman selected from childhood to be his wife stands by him. Together, they could see the Gerudo become a prosperous society and join in peaceful negotiations with Hyrule, or Ganondorf fall to the temptation of power and become yet another incarnation of the Dark Lord.
• The Exiles: Rather than Zant rebelling, Midna's sister finds the power of Ganondorf. After fighting her with all they're worth in the Twilight Realm, the two are forced to flee to the Realm of Light. Impification optional.
• A New Home: Fatally wounded by Ganondorf at the end of LOZ:TP, Link won't last long. The only way to save him is the way Zelda saved Midna--the princess of a given realm can imbue a dying denizen of the other realm with that realm's power. In this case, Link would have to go to the Twilit Realm, and Midna would transform him into a Twili, or at least a Twili/Hylian hybrid. Once in his new home, Link serves Midna as a knight, but grows closer to her personally...until a formless evil rises from the depths of the Twilight.
  
• The Twilight Prince: A sort of inversion AU. Zelda's kingdom is invaded by Queen Midna of the Twilight Realm, and in the aftermath, she's visited by a snarky, childish little imp named Zant, who promises to help her in exchange for helping him get revenge on the Queen. Up to you if Link's in the picture or not, but it'd end up with Zant returning to his original form and wooing the princess, successfully or unsuccessfully.
• Return of the Zora: Zoras emerge from the Great Sea once again (Yes, I know Zoras are supposed to be extinct because they've evolved into Rito by WW, but we've seen Rito and Zora side-by-side now, so I don't know what to think) and interact with the seafaring descendants of the Hylians.

Three Risky Plots:

• Legend of Zelda: Triforce Conspiracy. A modern AU where Link is a young 'fixer' and suspects wealthy entrepreneur and recognized ruler of the Gerudo, Ganondorf, is trying to usurp King Hyrule and his daughter Zelda. Getting some help from the notorious Hacker who goes by Sheik and/or an OC (depending on who you want to play) Link must get down to the truth of the matter in a Hyrule where Gossipstone is a brand of smartphone, Epona is a motorcycle model, and his biggest enemy wears a three-piece suit and goes to logo design meetings.
• Triforce, Imbalanced: The wielders of the Triforces of Wisdom and Power are to wed. King Ganondorf and Queen Zelda will bring Hyrule into a new age of prosperity and everyone's for it--except one terrifying, implacable swordsman revealed to hold the Triforce of Courage. This terrorist is quickly amassing an army. Will the King and Queen be able to repel this anarchist?
• The Hatchling and the Hero: I have multiple versions of a Link x Samus Aran plot. Because I am largely shameless.
