Happy New Year Sanctum Dwellers!

December is coming to an end and it is time to vote for the winner of our Monthly Writing Challenge,

All submissions are available in this forum.

Please read through all submissions and vote for the best holiday! While we do allow self-voting, we strongly encourage anyone who made a submission to vote for other candidates. All submitted votes are final.

While further entries are still allowed for the participation badge (Courtesy of @Rose for the Hunter), they will not be added to the poll. Poll entries are ordered by the date and time they were submitted.

The winning thread will be featured on the site for the month of January and the user will receive a unique medal for the win

Thanks to everyone for their participation and may the best submission win!!

So, since you can only vote for one thing, I'll just say some kind words about things I'd vote for.
Lebule - props for going the distance.
Dusktree - effort is evident, good formatting, the "we not eat you" moment was funny, props for that.
Gaiarmus - a nice and touching story. Although, it does kinda require reading the November submission about this nature spirit to understand this one better. Not sure what I'd think without reading the November one, but together they are good.
Lathanar - paints a nice, cordial atmosphere towards the end, props for that.
Requiem - random scavenger pouring gin in a dried well to honour a nigh-forgotten god she barely believes in is touching. I can't say why but it does evoke strong emotions. And it's quite rare for a text to evoke strong emotions in a reader. At least, from my experience. So muh vote goes here.

Props to everyone who submitted something this month, however, I enjoyed reading each one. Admittedly, some more than others but tastes differ.
