It's been so long I'm not really sure how to start these anymore. I've been away from writing for a while. Perhaps I could just start with - hello my name is staticpattern, like the static on an empty tv channel, but it does feel a bit bland. Isn't it more fun to inject a little bit of character into the intro? But maybe that feels too contrived… too performative. I’m not sure but it also gives a little insight into how I might write. Anyways, I wished I was good at making these pretty but here I am with another basic request thread. Perhaps you can scratch my itch.

Skip over this if you want. I won't go over too much. All you really know is that even though I'm just now sort of returning to writing and roleplaying in general, I have a few years of experience. Albeit on and off for essentially my whole life. I don't count the years anymore, I just write. That just made me sound old, I'm probably unc status.
The hardest part about this for me is trying to write this efficiently without making it sound like a stream of consciousness. I enjoy movies and much of my writing and ideas are inspired by various movies. Let's talk about movies, not right now of course.
How would I describe my writing level? Not sure, again I just type words on a screen and try to make them sound nice while making enough sense with enough periods and things. What does that make me? Amateur level? Intermediate? Intermediate amateur? All I'm saying is don't expect the absolute best from me.

- A reply at least once a week. I try to do more than that but I find that actually 5 days is the ideal response time for me.
- At least 2 paragraphs of 100 to 200 grammatically correct-ish words strung together. With my max probably being around 6 or so paragraphs of stuff.
- I will try my best to communicate with you and let you know if I have to delay my reply for any reason.
- Ghost friendly. Shit happens, life happens. Comes with the territory. Leave, come back, whatever. I totally understand.
- I will not power play nor control your character.
- Plus more, whatever I'm forgetting.
- A reply at least once a week. Even more ideally every 5 days.
- At least match my reply length. Want to do more than me? Even better. I'm greedy.
- Communication, let me know if you need to take a break or even if you're not feeling the storyline. Anything. I don't bite, sometimes.
- No power playing, I appreciate when characters can't just do whatever they want. But sometimes I’ll make an exception if the story requires or if I really like you.
I'm essentially just interchanging the word craving with itch here. That's what it most feels like to me, an itch that needs to be scratched. Sure it goes away eventually but it feels good when you scratch it and sometimes it makes it itch even more.
For any of these I'm looking for a writing collaborator and partner who can potentially scratch that itch. I'm looking to primarily play a male character for each of these against someone who will primarily play a female character. I primarily prefer OC characters and I enjoy using actor/celeb faces, it’s like choosing my own casting for a movie. I’m also open to anime aesthetics as well. Most of the itches are just general flavors and I will equate them to a movie or show to best get the flavor out. Like smacking the meat for flavor (I don’t know how to cook).
Smut is welcome but not the primary focus. Kinks available on request. It’s like the little bonus fries at the bottom of the bag.

so like I want Harry Potter stuff but I don’t at the same time. The creator is gross and I’d want it to be more of an adult setting. Maybe Mashle is a good alternative. But I’m not going to sugar coat, low key seeing a genderbent Malfoy got me going. So maybe someone would like to come up with our own thing. Preferably with a female bully type character, or enemies to lovers type energy. Tsundere type you know.
You know the vibes, you’ve tasted the flavor. Androids are more human than human. Humans are augmenting themselves, maybe there’s even some flying cars. I don’t know, what I do know is, I’d like to hear your ideas.
Mainly just want to explore the implications of a relationship between a replicant and human. Although we've sort of seen it in the movie. I'd like to dive deeper and put our own flavor into it.
Like you know a little bit gritty, gothic and atmospheric. With some philosophy and deep thinking I with plenty of dread sprinkled in. Lost of mystery stirred in.
We get to make our own True Detective season. You ever saw an actor who you thought would fit the detective role? What would be implications of a romance between detectives.
You know. Some spooky scary stalker is following you, keeping tabs on you, tracking your every move. Maybe they get close to you and by the time you realize it’s too late. Or will they try to change their sick ways for you? Maybe you’re investigating the killings. Lots of ideas here. Willing to play either role.
Its that time of year for spooky stuff. Maybe we can go ghost hunting? Or maybe we’ll go out and see a UAP.
Can do JJK or our own thing. It’s essentially just ghost hunting but with powers.
The show Dark on Netflix captures this vibe the most for me. I want someone to collaborate with on something crazy deep or even convoluted but connected in a way we don’t even see coming. I like the idea of lovers always destined to be together across all iterations of the universe. Stuff like that.
I didn't know where to put this so I put it here. Let me pitch you this, imagine the John Wick world, right, mafias, underground assassin networks. Now smush superpowers into it. That's the flavor.
Earth is running out of resources, so they reach to the stars as a solution. There's a mining colony and a starship capable of sustaining hundreds of crew for years. They mine resources and ship it back to Earth. But someone or something is causing problems, big problems. Crew are going missing or winding up dead. The colony and ship functions are malfunctioning, sabotage?
