Welp, one more body on the front lines of the great Story War.

Howdy folks, name's Corn! I'm a sleepy thing who's very much into writing all sorts of stuff, but unfortunately the sleepiness in my soul makes me a bit slower than I feel great about. ':s As such I am usually going for lower pressure, long-term stuff or short experimental things. I particularly enjoy fantasy and science fiction settings with action and romance, which is very vague and probably makes me sound pretty boring oops, and for some reason I keep winding up playing sad pissed moms (it was an accident last time, I swear!) but I'm trying to move away from that. Also, I love love love horror in all its strange business, and it just dawned on me that I can probably look for that here, and I'm so much more excited. I guess as a less boring distinguisher, expect me to really latch onto descriptions if I see the opportunity for a good mental image. I just love the sort of thing that jumps out at you and makes you picture it, and I tend to chase after it.

The forum I'm usually on with my friends is dying so it is merging with a different one that has teens in the community, but I haven't roleplayed in the same area as teens since I myself was one and I don't really want to start. At first I was thinking, 'shoot, I don't want to roleplay with or around kiddos, but I've been roleplaying with the same people so long I don't know where you find out about good rp forums anymore!' This one fell into my lap a lot quicker than I expected. Comforting to see the rules look solid and there's a fair amount of mod-types around, here's hoping this all works out as nicely as it looks like it will. Can't wait to meet y'all!

Welcome!! I'm pretty new too, and I also love horror! Though, mostly movies, I haven't gotten the chance to rp horror (though i'd like to). I'm also similar in that I like low stress and experimental plots, sci fi is one of my fave genres and I pretty much always like to include action and romance as well! I took a look at your profile and saw your 'Kitchen witch' description. I practice witchcraft as well! Mostly divination and a little bit of Kemetism (I am actually Egyptian irl). I'm not sure if your definition of teenager is to mean anyone under 20, because I am 18, but based on everything I said above, we have a lot of things in common so I feel like we could make a fun rp, or at least be good friends! And if you're not up for that, hope you have a great experience here anyways :)

Corvo, many thanks! When I said teens I meant minors, I just usually see young teens in roleplaying spaces and felt 'kids' was a bit dismissive and 'minors' felt weird and clinical. Didn't even think "Oh right there's still two more years of teendom here" until you said that, no that's all good by me! Honestly it's just like, I remember the adults that I knew when I was young on the web and think back on it like "huh, they were fine and all and I didn't have bad run-ins, but I knew people who did and it's weird in retrospect. Plus if my mom knew about that back then I think she'd be deeply uncomfortable." And I don't want to be contributing to that last bit for younglings.

Anyway, witches writing online, how novel! ;p That's very interesting! I've never worked with those myself, former because I'm a goofus who likes surprises and latter because I'm Very Not Egyptian haha. Exploring my own cultural roots myself (slowly... slowly...), and it's always nice to find kinship in internet witchcraft!

I'm going to be posting some ideas in the appropriate topic when I've got a little more energy, but I'd love to chat and work together, yes, do shoot me a message if you're down. :)
