Introduction
Hello and welcome to my Request Thread.
I am currently looking for a story or two to add to my collection. If you get through this and are interested in writing together, shoot me a PM, and I will be happy to discuss things with you. Anywho, on to the important bits.

About Me
  • I have been writing for a little over three years, but I have over a decade of experience running and playing Table-Top RPGs like D&D.
  • My frequency can be a little bit erratic, so be warned. I try to get a reply out at least once a week, but sometimes life gets in the way.
  • My post length tends to range from 500-2000 word count but depends significantly on what is going on and the level of interaction. More interactions between partners mean shorter replies (usually).
  • I tend to only write in the third person (close third) past tense. It allows me to convey the story the way I want to and prevents uncomfortable situations.
  • I absolutely love world-building. Discovering a unique and interesting world with my partner is half of the fun for me.
  • Character development, intrigue, drama, and subplots are high priorities when starting a new story.
  • I enjoy writing stories with adventure, things going on. I have never really been into the slice of life kind of thing. I want something to be happening! A goal to be pushing towards (or from).
  • My preferences for settings tend to be fantasy, as it allows the most creative freedom with world-building. That doesn't mean I can't be taken in by a good sci-fi, post-apocalyptic, or modern story.
  • I primarily play male main characters, but I almost always have several side characters. Sometimes they are part of the plot. Other times, they are simply there to show the world and the consequences of the player's actions.
  • I enjoy chatting OOC if that is your thing, be it about plot-related thoughts or simply the slow grind of life. I am always happy to chat. If that's not your thing, then no worries.
What I Look For
  • First and most importantly, I want a partner. I don't want to carry all the weight of the story myself. We are creating this together!
  • Someone with a similar writing level. I understand that English isn't everyone's first language (it isn't the one I grew up with either), so I am very forgiving of mistakes and typos (I have far too many of those). The important part is the quality of the writing, the ideas you are able to bring across.
  • Someone open and honest when discussing plot and world concepts. Don't just agree because you are afraid to hurt my feelings. I want both of us to enjoy the story, which can't happen if there are key aspects you despise.

Now that the boring stuff is out of the way, on to the stuff you really care about if you're still here!

Plot/Setting Ideas
These are some plots or settings I thought might be fun to explore with a partner. I left them pretty open ended so most stories could fit in them, so if any of these spark your imagination let me know!

  • The world as we know it is over. Welcome to the greater multiverse. It was an ordinary day on Earth when the while universe was suddenly integrated into The System. Now, the planet has changed, and the laws of nature have been rewritten. How will humanity survive this strange apocalypse? Will they adapt to this new way of life, or will they be consumed by one of countless factions seeking to exploit them. (Inspired by LitRPGs)
The idea for this one is to have people from our ordinary world thrust into a new reality where magic and game-like mechanics are now a real part of the world.
  • The nobility is slowly choking the life out of the lower class, bleeding them dry with their extravagant parties. The rumblings in the street are filled with anger and talks of bloodshed. Are there any of the nobility that even notice the coming devastation? Can the kingdom be saved? More importantly, should it?
  • What would the Great War (WW1) have looked like it magic was prevalent? How would people's lives change with access to minor marvels? Artillery that launches fireballs? Trenches where soldiers have magical shields? Rifles that fire bolts of lightning?
  • A civilization that lives in floating cities in the sky. Its residents are seen as gods to those who walk the earth, but are they so different? The groundborn offer gifts of metals and gems, in exchange the skyborn perform miracles and healing.
  • Few have the gift of magic, but those who do all have a familiar. Some have animals, others spirits. These beings are tied to their mage by a bond that allows for basic communication, but should one die the other will as well.
  • This one is less of a setting and more of a character idea.

A man cursed with immortality (reborn when he dies, awakens a few hours/days later, or some other variation) after ages of wandering he's jaded to the world, but when the world is on the brink of destruction, he might be the only one who can save it. The problem is, he doesn't care. Can he be convinced to pick up his sword once more? What will it be to finally gain his attention, for the man who's seen civilisations rise and fall?

If you are still here and still interested in writing, please shoot me a PM and we can come up with an idea together. When you contact me please include a little about your interests and writing style.
