For some reason, this feels a little awkward, but it's something that has to be done even though I've been looking at this for weeks now. I'm looking for someone to set up a roleplay with and hope that there will be a lady with similar tastes to my own. And before you ask, yes, I am ashamed of my tacky username. I was as soon as I made it.
There are a few things that I have to say about myself so you won't get lured into something. I'm a 29-year old male, who just can't stop himself from writing. English isn't my native language, so chances are that I'll be making some very stupid mistakes. I also happen to have a life, so I won't be able to post every day, but am aiming to post at least every other day. If I can't make it, I will naturally let you know.
In my experience, my posts tend to be one to two paragraphs. Enough to move things forward, but no long chapters without room for my partner. I believe that it's important to collaborate, and not just write for each other. From this, it naturally follows that I think that it's important to communicate and to have at least a basic discussion of what we both want.
For me, one of the most important things of a roleplay is that there is something between the main characters and that they explore and develop their feelings. I won't deny that I like there to be a healthy dose of smut, but other kinds of intimacy also are important, and everything has to make sense in the story. I also like to explore different sides of characters, so I really appreciate characters who also have moral flaws, so to say.
I don't really like things like a dominant or a submissive partner. To me, the ideal is one of equality (at least, in the relationship. In the outside world, it can be completely different of course). I also have a preference for strong women which partially flows from this. Combined with that, I just love romance.
This leads me to the next thing, what I like in my partner's character. As I mentioned, I like strong women who have the ability to drive (part of) the plot and relationship. I also love things like a good sense of humour, and perhaps most importantly, I think that flaws are vital. They are what makes a character feel real.
In terms of appearance, my tastes actually are quite broad, except that I'm not really drawn to the typical bimbo look, or overly thin women of course. I really like realism in that regard. As far as age is concerned, I like it if my partner's character is roughly my character's age or older. I'm not really that interested in teenagers for instance. I think that little imperfections add a lot more than just being the perfect beauty, so I just love those things that make someone unique and seem more like a real person.
Of course, there are some things that I would prefer to avoid (read: I absolutely don't want to involve them) in the erotic parts of the roleplay. These are mostly the things most people would want to avoid and include anything to do with the bathroom stuff, gore, pain (with exceptions for very mild pain), dominance stuff, anything with animals and children, anything nonconsensual, and things like that. Of course, there always is more, but I'll try to clarify when it gets to it. And many things that are more doubtful also really depend on the situation.
To not be a complete square, I'll also add some things that I really like. One is things being loving and mutual. I also love things like realism, kissing, and the like. Of course, everyone likes those, so I'll also mention a few more specific things.
I just love beautiful clothes and lingerie. Well-chosen clothes can really add so much to a woman's beauty. I also love involving the environment we're in in some way and especially like it a lot when there is something like a mirror. There just is something intensely sexy about that. It also can't be understated how much I love it when a woman has some hair down there, somehow, that makes her much more of a woman to me. I also adore the idea of the relationship bearing fruit so to say, and our characters having a child. But of course, that is something more long term and should really fit the story we're telling. I also can't overstate how much I like having actual feelings in it and not just motions.
For the setting, I like fantasy, historical, and modern roleplays. I'm not really interested in science fiction, but of course, a good idea can always convince me. I know that I'm repeating myself, but realism is important there. Even in a world with magic and flying giant fire-breathing lizards, things should still be making some kind of sense. Otherwise, immersion is just impossible.
So, in summary, I'm looking for a partner for a nice romantic roleplay!
And now, with ∞% more plots! I know, going from 0 to anything doesn't give you any increase because you can't divide by zero, but please, forgive me my silliness. All of these ideas are very rough frameworks and I'm always open to changes and completely fresh ones!
1) The core of this idea is that your character is a politician who has taken the first steps in her career (or more) and my character is a young staffer. Both of them of course are highly ambitious and aim to succeed despite all the opposition they face, but there is something more. As they work together, something grows between the two. Something that might become a scandal if it gets out.
2) The world of espionage is well-known for its webs of intrigue and lies. But what happens when two top agents from different countries meet each other, not knowing who the other really is? Can they ever come to trust each other or are they doomed to living an endless series of lies while threats gather all around them?
3) This idea is a little different, but it is about something psychological I think might be interesting to explore. Somehow, it might be a disaster leaving them to flee in a bunker or some kind of accident, our characters end up together in a relatively small space, without safe contact with the outside world. A lot can happen between them as they have to survive, both the physical dangers and the far greater mental ones.
4) Love conquers all. It may sound like an empty phrase, but some truly come to believe in it. And not in the poetic interpretation. The idea here is that our characters are in a fantasy world and both are warlords of some kind, whether it's an evil mage or a great warrior or anything in between. Both seek conquest, to reach their goals, and are willing to do anything it might take. But then they meet each other, and both feel something within their black hearts.
5) Sometimes, the one who most deserves the throne isn't the firstborn. The idea here is that one of our characters is born as the child or royalty, but not the eldest. They however do want the throne. This character meets the other, who also is ambitious, but more importantly, sees the royal offspring as the one who should actually sit on the throne. That leads the two to conspire to bring this about.
6) Piracy is one of the crimes that actually pays. Why else do they have treasures to bury? This would be a more historical roleplay where your character is a feared pirate captain who encounters my character, a young naval officer who is part of an expedition meant to bring her to justice. Naturally, this leads to some complications.
7) I know that it can come across as a little bit tacky, but I've always been a fan of Bonnie&Clyde-like stories. So, I was thinking about our characters being criminals, together on the run from the law. We could be anything, from hardened robbers to sly thieves.
8) One thing that I've always found fascinating is space exploration. The idea here is that our characters are (part of) the crew of a long-range mission without a short-term way back. This can develop into all kinds of directions and I think that it could lead in some fascinating directions.
9) Cults can be very interesting things. The motives for the members and leaders can go in all sorts of directions, and that's something I'm interested in exploring. The idea here is that your character is the leader of a cult and my character is someone who has joined only recently. It might be real or just a scam, both offer their own options.
10) Like so many people, I just love vampires and werewolves. They both embody such deep and intense concepts, and the combination is even better. I would just love to play a vampire who starts to fall for a werewolf. One plot idea that I'm thinking about is that (as always) there is a war being fought in the shadows, but both sides are suffering from it, threatening to bring in a true danger: the mortals finding out.
11) This idea might seem a little strange, but I somehow can't shake the idea of a kind of shared Groundhog day, where the two of us are the ones who keep repeating a period of time. At first, we might not be aware of that, but soon enough, it will come out that we're the only ones who remember. Perhaps we can break the cycle together, or perhaps we somehow thrive in it?
