Castle Structure:

The castle itself runs entirely on magic, and its true age is unknown. Winding halls and endless corridors are meant to protect the castle and keep those who wish it harm from finding their way out. As Lucien’s curse progresses, the castle falls further and further into disrepair, but many of the residents don’t understand why. Unbeknownst to them, Lucien’s heart, mind, and body are what keep the castle alive. As he gets closer and closer to the end of his curse, the castle slowly starts to fall apart. With it being only two years until his untimely demise, the fourth floor of the castle has completely collapsed. The third floor is slowly starting to fall in on itself as well.

Walls are becoming unsteady and weak. The floors have cracks in them and are unsafe to walk on. Windows are cracking and breaking, letting the cold in. Food can barely grow in the garden.

The castle is situated in mountains that are nearly impossible to pass through. Humans often die during their journey there, and those who make it close enough to the castle are either too sick to survive or are killed by one of the creatures inside. Those who wander close enough are not met with a warm greeting.

Castle Staff:
  • Hana - Controls everything when Lucien is unable to (Kitsune)
  • Maeve - Servant, always at Lucien’s beck and call (Siren)
  • Rowan - Guide, helps newcomers find their way around, though unwillingly. (Fae)
